The best run of Bully Ray's career. Aces and Eights was a faction full of midcarders at the very best, but by god did he pull it all together. This was the last time TNA really felt like captivating TV.
@RavenRX4 жыл бұрын
Too bad that bully ray was the only one to get anywhere from it aside from Devon holding the television title. Knux and DOC could of atleast won the tag titles.
@theonlygoodonehere2259 Жыл бұрын
I might be tripping or something, but isn't that how factions with more 5 or more guys supposed to be like, have 2 main eventer guys in it, with the rest being top mid carder guys? you can't have 6 main eventer guys on 1 team, thats absurd, and would take away from the roster

+RejectedSpiritX the Aces & Eights story line had many POTENTIAL. Devon & Anderson could be contenders for TV title, Wes & Garrett + Knux & D.O.C could have gone for Tag Team title. They all could have functions instead of just Bully Ray's personal followers. It is ashamed that Aces & Eights focuses too much on Bully Ray becoming World Champion
@RejectedSpiritX8 жыл бұрын
Hafizh Abd Hamid Devon at that time was already the Television Champion, but Knux and DOC could have easily challenged for the Tag Team Titles, and maybe Anderson with the X Division Title. The focus of Aces and Eights began to crumble after Bully Ray revealed himself.

Dam Bubba was in such better shape here than he is now :( sad he gained that weight back and he can't portray THIS character. You'd figure with WWE's schedule being more strenuous he'd be in better shape whereas TNA really wasn't all that bad in terms of dates they actually traveled and worked.

With a strenuous WWE schedule, Bully Ray probably ate fast food on the road WAY more often and was probably too tired on the road to stop & work out... whereas in TNA, Bully was at home WAY more than he was at home with WWE, so he had all the time in the world to work out and make clean meals at home in his kitchen.
@edwinfox70845 жыл бұрын
I know this is 3 years ago but know the wrestling Business TNA schedule was just as strenuous as wwe they do over sea tours just like them all of it. Face it Bully Ray just got older but hell still a great wrestler.
@Voysh2Voysh695 жыл бұрын
Edwin Fox no, you’re wrong. Go and listen to ANY wrestler’s interview or podcast. Listen to Booker T talk about his TNA days. Or Kevin Nash talk about TNA. They all say that signing with TNA was like getting paid to be on vacation compared to the grind of the WWE. TNA may have had some overseas tours, but the AMOUNT of dates to make it to was FAR less than WWE. TNA has never, in their history, ran the number of tapings & house shows that WWE runs. This isn’t my opinion either, it’s straight from the mouths of WWE legends who went to TNA and spoke about the differences between the schedules. When Bully Ray returned to WWE, he was back on a much more active road schedule. Which means he very well could have been eating a lot more fast food and not sticking to a diet & exercise program. Jim Cornette had once bragged about being able to fly to Orlando, shoot a live taping plus 2 extra days to film the next couple of weeks worth of Impact shows, then be able to fly back home and stay there for a couple weeks before the next TNA PPV or taping schedule. Bully Ray would have easily been able to stay fit on this TNA schedule.

This was the peak of TNA wrestling. They should have stayed in the Impact zone and kept making their product better. They took the show on the road and just wore out the talent all over the company. When they did travel once a month or every other month, it felt special. The impact zone should have been the pages to the story and the bigger arenas would be the final chapters. Slammiversary 2012 was the best TNA tv product and PPV product.

Was a good stable with a decent storyline that was destined to fail Good points .The name was good I bought it as a legit MC name .The intro music was great suited the stable .The suspense to who was involved was great, I remember when I watched TNA weekly I would search through dirt sheets to find names.. also the reveals payed off .Doc gallows and Mike Knox or knux were believable MC members that looked great .Had genuine momentum to start off with and decent heat But... . (With the exception of doc gallows and Mike Knox) I didn't buy the members as MC members .Most of the members were ex WWE employees (I know that was a lot of TNA since 07/08 to that moment) but it gave the stable a reject WWE feel imo .Being honest they were mid carders and nothing more (except maybe bully Ray) .I don't know if they could've been booked to look legit, but being buried by AJ Styles and the mem they had no chance to be taken as a serious threat to anything Overall I liked them great build up with a moderate reveal, with more believable members and good booking they could've been huge and helped TNA. Nothing against these guys but with (especially) Garrett Bischoff, Wes Brisco and d-lo brown (not 100% sure on Mr Anderson) I don't think it would've ever worked no matter the booking.
