And now let's move on to the PVE. Here, too, I will highlight a few points. 1) Story line. As I said, my English is not very good, but the storylines are beautiful and interesting, especially after their updates. I had a lot of fun translating them from my phone. 2) Leveling It's cool, convenient, maybe a bit fast and doesn't have pvp (this is a disadvantage because you can really play pvp at level 65 only, it takes a long time to find an arena). I believe that there are not enough dungeons or events during pumping to delay this process a little and still "force" interest in side tasks, there is also something to look at, although it is rare. And some mini mutations to gain new experience and prepare for real dungeons. 3) Chests, chests and once again chests. Sometimes I want to kill the person who invented it, on the other hand, solo routes in elite locations are a delight for soul lovers. I'm not even sure if I got anything good in my 2 years of playing, because I got wounded once a week =) 4) Elite locations. I would get a lot of enjoyment out of them if they were 20-man instanced locations. But they lose all meaning and enjoyment because of a herd of 100 people. 5) Dungeons. These are quite linear, very repetitive and same-type locations, but the mutations and the first experience cause pleasure. Of course after 30-50 hikes I hated them and it was just a farm site, but it was still pretty fun. In general, I think that people should not know what DDs go with them, so that there are not these eternal 20 consts and light sets. That's why you usually have fun with friends, with randoms it's more of a gold chase and a hell of an experience. I once sat on a slope for 4 hours looking for a lobby because people didn't like that I was going without wards (and that's how I have skins for a top in dungeons). 6) Raids. Although they have almost no meaning, I went once a week with pleasure. Unfortunately, you won't be taken there without a normal guild, because you need experience and you only need builds. To gain experience, you need a guild that goes there. Such a paradox. It will be difficult for solo players to find a group of people who will take you into this content, especially if you are a foreigner with poor knowledge of English. 7) Professions Cool thing, I like crafting, but apart from cooking and arcana, it is unlikely that anything will be very useful. It is cheap to buy craft, BIS is relatively inexpensive to craft, and it is quite easy to knock out. Therefore, there is no point in pumping. In other MMOs, crafting is the only way to get the best stuff (except for drops from bosses with a chance of 0.00000001% and this is correct in my opinion, it is a good incentive for leveling professions and farming gold). The system of drops and crafts at the beginning of the game was more balanced than after the updates (here is my subjective opinion). Well, I will add that fishing is dead, as well as hunting, but in fishing at least there is a unique fish that can be collected for a collection, which cannot be said about hunting. General impressions and possibly points that will bring me back to the game. 1) Optimization and server response. It's obvious here, I'm from a relatively poor country and I can't afford the "best iron", and in pvp it's important to have good fps and server response. 2) Content. First of all, pvp content is critically needed, the island will not bring people back for long. We need 5v5 arenas, new maps for pvp modes, something new for siege and some custom pvp events with an interesting reward. Interesting PVE content is also needed. In my opinion, first of all, these are new enemies that can randomly change in dungeons. Make mutations more situational and interesting. You come to genesis for the last boss and there is a captain from deps, how do you like such a surprise? Then all the builds in the dungeon would be needed and the gameplay itself would become a kind of roguelike and not get bored. Need some sort of pvv competition, I mean something like an endless tower where there are more affixes or enemies with each level and you have a week to beat most of the levels. Each level is a different dungeon. At the end of the week, the leaderboard shows new tower kings. New dungeons, rework of elite locations or new elite locations but instonsovy. New mechanics to old acquaintances. 3) Events. Amazon learned how to do them at the beginning, but decided to just do copying and parasitism. Give new events, new skins for farming, change enemies and event mechanics even a little. Why not add some event with snowballs in winter? This is actually an ice gauntlet but without skills and with a different projectile in a small snow arena. Maybe it's really hard, but we have a 3v3 arena, we saw on ptr how the moderator added textures to the map. Therefore, there are more questions than answers 4) Social content. It is absent and is reduced to the creation of guilds. I want to live a better life here. Let me start a family, have a house together and make me my girlfriend or playful husband. Give me a party where I can chat with random people in town. Make it an event where everyone has to contribute. Allow for a guild vault, some alliances that can be betrayed. Why can't we help the enemies if on opr I fight people from my faction lol? But I can't go to war against my faction, and that would create interesting candidates. Add some separate factional locations where NPCs will attack enemies from other factions, but in the event that the faction breaks through to the vault, it can earn by looting the treasury, which will speed up the pumping of allied cities. For balance, you can make NPCs stronger and increase their number. We are already in 2024 and there are many social opportunities that can be borrowed from other cities. AND SO I DREAM OF MY ISLAND WITH A CITY AND A HOUSE THAT I WILL BUILD MYSELF. Sorry for yelling. I want to have the motivation to go into this game like I used to go into WoW, Lineage, Neverwinter and some Korean games. But all that kept me going was OPR and the Wars. And new locations and dungeons. Also, I expect periodic content in the game, at least once every 3 months, it can be something small like a dungeon + a location for OPR, a weapon + a new event where I still need to earn this weapon. Raid + pvp event. We need to hear from all players and provide content for both camps. I don't want to wait a year for a location and a weapon, I don't have the motivation or content for that. And so I understood why sands were not released for a year, because it was necessary to correct errors and I gave them this time, but when the game became +- good, I expected periodic content and a joystick and aim for consoles. But if there will be a cross game, I will come and see the implementation. If all the console players get hit in the head with a musket or a bow, I'll laugh, change the review to negative and remove the game from Steam and probably never give it another chance. But if they did it well and they give us a reconnaissance map where we can see that the content will be periodically added, then I will give this game a chance again and again until it dies.

Actually, the world of New World allows for adding and inventing any nations and tribes, many interesting enemies, even extraterrestrial creatures wouldn't spoil the overall picture of world filling, many collaborations can be made. I once wrote dozens of ideas that could improve gameplay and the overall experience, but they were ignored, just like thousands of ideas from other people. It's a pity that the management/content creators didn't rush to listen to the players when it was needed. I still believe that the game needs a tool where people could create skins and vote for them, the best ones would be added to the game as parts of equipment/items for donation or event rewards. Even if there were no benefits for the player, there would still be plenty of ideas, and monthly voting would gain quite a scale. Also, it would add references to various nationalities of the world, which could attract new players as well.

I played 1 opr on VG \ FS and went to hades. According to feelings, pvp has become worse than 6 months ago. I will play a little tomorrow, but I don't have the desire to play as a teacher yet. My medium set was dying in 1 second lol. I understand that the current builds have changed, but this is strange.

That's a really great point, it would be an amazing MMO, it's just the other stuff you expect at end game. It's like the game Enshrouded, which I just played through. I had fun, played the content the game has, and then when I finished it all, I moved on and was satisfied. If New World was the same, people would be a lot less critical, but because it's an MMORPG, we expect more and more.

Yea, minimal servers is really needed. Towns feel busy for me, the problem with beginner zones is that each player can start in a different location, I think they did that when they were getting a ton of new players, to smooth things over, but now that things have settled, it should go back to one area, so new players have more people running around. I would wait until after Console Launch to do this though, just in-case it's a crazy influx of players for that, that might lag up the starter zones.

We don't need another fresh launch if it's just new content. Look how fast majority of the fresh start servers died last time.

Yea, in my most recent video I talked about it, but they 100% NEED to find a way to get mega-servers. Amazon for sure has the resources to do so, if not the Lord of The Rings game will be destined to fail.

Yea, that's being super optimistic with naval content. xD They did say they want to make a wow moment tho, so I am just thinking something crazy. Most of the stuff we know already, so there must be something else if they are going for that moment.

For me I got the base game on a massive sale, so I think it'll always be worth my money, even with the expansion, but I get it, everyone should be allowed mounts, artifacts, and max level. I think they will be reworking the payment structure of the game in June, they hinted at something like that, and I hope they redeem that poor decision.

That's a really healthy way to look at it and play the game. Always good to take breaks, and it gives you time to get to games you never got to play through yet. I like to wait for good games to go on discount, and when I have nothing to do in NW, go play through them. I just played through Enshrouded and had a blast. Will go hard into NW again in June.

Shitty RNG. It's all about luck and grinding. Best thing you can do is get 5 other friends and que arena at the same time and then win trade the wins back and fourth. Fastest way to grind the pvp track for your time/value. One team goes 3-2 and then the next arena the other team goes 3-2 alternating wins

Breaks are always good, come back when ever the June content is released, if it's good, fresh and ready to go. I took September off last year before the expansion, and coming back for the expansion just felt so much better for it.

Yea, I get it, hopefully the PVP island is done well, because PVP players need some love this year. I've been reading comments and a couple comments back someone had a really cool suggestion for wars, instead of just practice wars, there can be casual wars. Any company can challenge another company to a war for a certain amount of gold, and at a certain time. If they agree, it goes down, winner takes the gold, and each company has a record of how many wins/losses they have in wars. There would still be hardcore wars for territories, but this would just allow everyone to get involved, and it not feel pointless.

@@NewbWorld That is pretty much what I meant by practice wars. Companies can agree to war each other at any time with no territory at any time. People have quit the game because they can't access to the pvp. AGS has never understood that.

Yea, that could be it. I thought I was just weird, but I love grinding long for a really good item, and then getting it, that feeling is insane, but I used to be a Runescape player, so maybe I am a bit odd. 😂 Everyone in NW complains if they got to spend more than an hour grinding for an artifact, but these are supposed to be like the best of the best items, I think a hard grind is warranted. Maybe it's just a different generation thing.

@@NewbWorld its lazy design to just make things take a long time (grind). the way itemisation should be in games, is a wide variety of gear NOT simply a few "best in slot" builds or items. new world was very good originally because you have a good amount of weapons, different armor types, and you can even mix and match everything together to some degree of success. personally one thing i wish they done was let us have 3 weapons total active, they had that in one of their old alphas but then scrapped it for just 2 weapons. and 2 weapons became alot worse when you can just go Axe + Hammer and then just spam the abilities like an ape.

the basic example of gearing problems in new world was the fact like 99% of gear you find you literally just deleted or didn't want...

That's a really interesting thought. It would be cool to add more prestige to all skills, like Runescape does, so being something like a logger main feels better. Like a leaderboard for every skill, and with the aptitude ranks going on infinitely, and the leaderboards cross-server, it would add some really cool competitive nature to all the skills. If you could be working towards being the #1 logger in the game, with the highest apt lvl, and maybe it keeps track of how many trees you've taken out, and you get some dope cosmetic for it all, like a golden logger outfit for the loggers. Could be so cool, which just makes it all so much more frustrating, the game has so much potential, we just want to see it realized. 😂

yeah totally. but even just the general act of logging.. something as simple as fornites system where you’re are aiming at the moving circle for “weak spots” just feels better than simply clicking a button and waiting

Yea for sure, and cross-server expeditions really helps out with that, they just gotta bump the daily expedition/random expedition rewards to something really worth it, like a chromatic seal or something, to keep people in them. Artifacts always helps with that, but something even more. You chose a great time to come back though, hopefully by the time you finish up all the content, the new stuff will be coming out.

That's always a good way to play games. Gives you times to play other games as well, I just played Enshrouded and had a blast, will go hard on NW in June.

Yea, I was hoping the June announcement would turn things around, but I think it did more harm than good.

But the core for me is still what gives me hope. I really love the simplicity of the combat, and graphics/sound. They just need to get better at the rest of the things, which is what I hope they are doing now, by slowing down on combat, and re-working the code. We'll see what they say in June, and then I will keep an eye on if things are getting better with the new code or not, and make my final conclusion by the end of the year.

But console players don't have many options for MMORPGs, so for us on PC, we can jump off and go play so many great games, but for console, if they're looking for an MMORPG, they have to settle for average experiences, so I don't know, it might work for them. As for the money, I know Amazon doesn't need it, but they must have a budget for the studio, so for example, they get this much to put into the development, based on their profits, if the profits jumps up a bunch, they could get an increase in their budget, so new staff can be hired, and more content at a faster rate.

😂 I am no fan of woke content, but do you really feel like New World is? I see it a lot in many new TV shows, and it's pretty unbearable in some, but I don't notice it in NW.

@@NewbWorld AGS is woke, you can really see it in their movies, like Rings of Power. It's also in their team and development behind the scenes. You get a little taste of it when selecting your gender in NW.

@@NewbWorld Well, I can only speak for myself and those I interact with in games but everyone I know turns off screen shake in settings for New World as an example and if anyone has screen shake active during vod reviews of wars they'll get roasted by the vod reviewer to turn it off going forward as it is annoying to watch. Screen shake is more interesting as flair for video editors than it is for users and their viewing experience.

Well, I think Sandworm is considered a raid? I don't know, I never did it, but they for sure need more raids, and PVP for sure needs some love. I think PVP over raids, just because the PVP community has been neglected for so long. Hopefully the PVP Island is done well.

I said it adds nothing, I was just saying I could see them adding something with it, like how mounts came with a skill line. Maybe a new skill line, or hopefully naval content, which would bring content, but just swimming alone is nothing.

Yea, that's the best way to play an MMO imo, and enjoy your way through the content, but there will always be min maxers that want to run through everything asap, I really don't get it. I just played through Enshrouded, and when I couldn't find a material, I went online to see where it drops, but like all the videos were like here's a glitch to get infinite of this item. It really made me wonder what's the point of that, if they gave you everything from the beginning of the game, there's nothing to aim for, and nothing to grind for, and there's no point playing the game. 😂
