i leveled an alt 1-60 with javelin to get used to it and it became very natural after that. even though its mostly pve, you still develop the feeling for it

Awesome content, I'm having a blast playing with bow and spear in PvP! This reminds me the Meliodas scene where he throws a spear from miles away hahahha Do you run a similar setup for PVE as well? Im new to the game so I'm pretty low on budget to make a whole new set for PVE. Could you share some insight on your bow setup for PVE, in case you use that?

Haha... I do run a similar build for PVE as the main use for spear is to apply rends so the perf and sundering javelin work in great. For bow I'd switch out explosive with rain and could even switch evade to poison for the most aoe dmg.

Mate you are a man after my own heart with the big spear throws! Can I ask for your considerations in taking the arrow gravity perk over the headshot damage? I see the value in both but curious as to your experienced POV on these. Amazing vid, clean gameplay - as a long time bow and spear player really like your fresh build, it's unique and I really like it. Top stuff.

Haha thanks man - I feel pretty comfortable with the javelin throws. I prefer gravity perk as I get the benefit on every single shot and in opr / open world / wars you hit people at distance quite a lot. Trying to get consistent headshots factoring in movement, latency, rolls, trajectory drop, etc... is very difficult with bow. Plus someone did some data mining and the arrow gravity perk for whatever reason gives you a bigger hit box lol

Question on your weapon perks! Why crit chance over crit damage when I feel like as dex users we have a lot of crit chance already?

Hey I actually used this build from one of your other videos. Question - Explosive shot.... Does it miss more then it hits for you? The damage radius on players is so much smaller then NPC I swear

Hey man, the explosive arrow hit box is atrocious or it's just outright bugged at the best of times. I try to only use explosive arrow if a target is cc'ed eg: after a javelin or if they are in animation lock using a skill like rapid shot. If you're trying to hit someone on the move I find it usually misses or even goes right through them at times... It's our highest damage dealing ability though so for burst damage using it after javelin is perfect.

Hi, focusing on the new servers, what would be the priority path to learn the skills of each weapon?

There's certain areas that you can get weapon experience up pretty quickly. If you're on a new server I'd just recommend using the weapons you want to use at endgame as you go from level 1 to 60. By the the time you get to 60 just by using those weapons in the pve content they will max out 😀

Nice vid as always. I've got a quick question. I can see you have 4 pieces of DEX gear, but they add up to 114 dex points. How come you get 147 in total for dex equipment?

Still good bro! I just did an updated video with the build updated to the new brimstone patch. It is a lot harder though vs certain builds due to the nerfs to light roles etc... 1 v x situations vs melee are pretty dam tough.

Do you prefer explosive over flurry shot? I notice alot of people use the triple over it. How come you use explosive? I'm trying to pick up bow spear and really wanna learn it haha

All depends on your playstyle - If you run with the zerg and want to sit in the background doing damage I'd use rapid shot / poison. If you're having engagements like me in the videos you want high burst damage of which explosive shot is the highest dmg skill we have :) So in summary if you have lots of engagements with counter play I'd use explosive - if you're just sitting in the background use rapid/poison :)

Have you ever messed around with musket and rapier or are you knowledgeable on them as well? I use musket/rapier or bow/rapier, but I play more for the pve/professions/ and game economy so I am a little lost with pve. I usually run a war type build in OPR which doesn't feel ideal, but I have more fun with that playstle. Was wondering what you think BIS perks/builds look like for musket/rapier or if you think spear is just far superior to rapier. Nice gameplay btw, subbed

A lot of hrs and practice haha... with those long jav shots it's a very common scenario when you're back capping for people to come down from spawn so you get a good idea on placement. This is also a highlights vid... I still miss a lot of those long distance shots as well.

Hey man, chest and ring are from the pvp track rewards, the rest of the equipment I just got from trading post. Can get some pretty good pieces for quite cheap when you keep your eye on it :) I use to have quite a bit of dungeon gear which was BIS but last patch made it not as good so it's mainly trading post stuff now.

Super fun with this build as I can kill healers - spear is a healers nightmare. For certain weapons and builds though they wouldn't be able to kill a healer which would be very frustrating hence why some people say they broke af.

BIS would be: Attunement Enchanted Keenly Jagged or vicious If you are going for 2 perks - overall I'd say get an Attunement / Enchanted bow.
