Designs were definitely slimmed down and simplified to making it easier to animate.

Loved the Xmen animated series I always looked forward to catching it every Saturday morning. I can't wait to see how the new series goes its been delayed now for what like a year!? C'mon now give the people what they want!!!

I really want to see Age of Apocalypse referenced with this art style. 90's Beast always makes me think of evil Hank McCoy. But they were riffing on Days of Future past with this version of Bishop so that's a lot of post apocalyptic XMen.

I was a fan of the old X-Men cartoons and fingers crossed that the new episodes are going to stay true to the source materials....This is Disney after all and we all know what they did to Indiana Jones, Willow , Star wars and the Marvel movies

I'm fine with the designs . But I hope the next season we will get a more updated design for the costumes.

I just saw these detailed character art in your video and I have a problem with most of them. Rogue got younger/her face looks off and some assets shrunk. Bishop got younger. Storm's body looks right, but the face doesn't look like storm at all + she has gotten younger. Jean Gray looks younger. Jubilee has a different face, fatter, and slightly older. Gambit's face looks a bit different as does Wolverine, but mostly the 3 characters that look pretty dang decent to their 97' counterparts are Beast, Wolverine, and Cyclops.

if that is sunspot.. sticks out like a sore thumb with that design.. definitely a few 90's looks they could have given him to fit in better with the aesthetic.. but we'll see how it plays out

I would have much wanted to see Archangel, Iceman , Colossus and Nightcrawler on the team over Morph, Sunspot, and Bishop. The rest are Ace's.

Is Hasbro still going to put out more of the X-Men '97 branded ML figures? I know they have had a lot of Cyclops releases. And they put out an animated series one, not too long ago. But, that had grape jelly stains on it. (Fake cell shading.) LOL I only need a good representation of Cyclops as the 90s arcade 6 player beat 'em up Cyclops. That's the minimalist collection I had started. And I only have Cyclops left. It would be cool if they released a Cyclops with both hair exposed and fully covered hair heads and the soft goods X-jacket he sometimes wore in the original show. But, Hasbro doesn't do things like that.

It's a good thing they did not continue with that last session's look. It was awful. I don't like the changes to Jean's design. They were not necessary.

And here we go with the SJW nonsense again.If you want a character that isn't a straight white male, start from scratch and make the character like that from the start. Even a compromise on a little known character would be better than this? Word got out that Wolverine and Cyclpse are gay now and the fans didn't like that and they may be doing a rewrite of that aspect. In the series finale of the 90's series, Xaviar has been taken into space not dead, so This isn't a continuation of the 90's version.
