They finally replaced the old railway bridges! Alleluia! I've not been riding for six months as I was too busy caring for my late wife. Hopefully, I will be back to it soon. Thanks for your regular videos, which have kept my interest going.

Well done Mike Julie and crew, nice ride, is it compulsory that at least one on the ride has to have squealing brakes. This time of year its cleaning bike after every ride which can be a pain. Happy New Year to you all nice video.

Cor strewth... no way could I cope with the gear ratios you two are pushing! I'm about half way through reading The Circling Sky, a book about the author's links to the New Forest, it's history and its flora and fauna (no mention of peletons of gravel crunching, sealant spraying, yee haaing cyclists yet though...) and it just serves to make me even more jealous of where you get to ride! Great ride and video - as per usual!

Thank you Mick, there's certainly plenty to learn about the New Forest, even though I lived in and around the area for many years, my knowledge is mostly of the Wartime uses. It is a nice place to visit and you really can get around off road much better than in a car.

Yes I used to find the bike washing and oiling up after each ride so boring when I used to ride daily, I think I wait a bit longer this year before I venture out again. ill just watch your bike adventures while I dream of dryer days

Happy New Year to you both. All the best for 2023. Great video looked a nice chilled ride 👌 I do gravel riding and road riding. As you said road can be a bit of nightmare with traffic etc. Do prefer the off road stuff more fun. 👍👍

I bought a gravel bike and sold it 2 months later I’d go off road and to be honest a mountain bike would be way better I just think gravel bikes aren’t particularly good at anything off road or on road. Blame the Americans for another buzz word when all they are is cyclocross bikes with lower gearing

@Tarmac basher I've got a full suspension bike also but bit of a slog getting to the trails I cycle too, do like going down some awkward stuff on it. 👍👍

Off road means traffic is one less thing to worry about, and also we've both noticed a drop in fitness now we're doing less gravel rides. We need to get back out on the midweek group rides 😀 Cheers for commenting
