I'm not sure EastEnders is the best to learn English from I struggle with the cockney accent there are so many different dialects in the UK and they use cockney rhyming slang it obviously helped though you type excellent english

Angie was pure class, she was kind to Donna, dont get me wrong Peggy had longetivty but it was Angie who had the heart and class to run the queen vic

Sadly tge following year during 1988 we lost a lot of these wonderful characters Angie being one of them. Unfortunately this was the last Christmas that some of them were all in the show before there departures in 1988 and for me after this Eastenders was never the same and I stopped watching it

I'm a welsh man so was my gramps but he spent a lot of his time as young man in east end London with friends he made on national service he absolutely loved the old cockneys he found them to be very friendly welcoming people 👌

So agree Sadly after 1988 it lost its way and a lot of its wonderful characters Angie Lofty Mary and others plus the departure of Its writers and Creators Julia Smith and Tony Holland
