I think the hairstyle of Thunders is an over the top version of Keef Richards around 69 to 71,Johnny made it his own then it was copied by so many 80's rockers it's ridiculous.Steve Stevens,Nikki Sixx,Izzy Stradlin,Mike Monroe, etc etc .

well,,, I would not imagine the NY Dolls playing the "shot by both sides" of Magazine like i saw Radio Birdman do some 8 to 10 years ago (?) in london... Radio Birdman are tighter and less trashy-on-purpose... The guitar style of RB is more clenched teeth seething with barely contained rage when the Dolls... Syl and JT guitar mixture is total tongue lolling out and eyes revulsed (JT) while Syl is the true metronome but with swagger... Oh well it is so hard to explain how one's perceives music!
