Bleacher Report on Najee Harris Giants Trade Rumors:
The team added Devin Singletary via free agency, Eric Gray is in year two and Schoen also added depth by selecting Tyrone Tracy Jr in the fifth round this spring. However, there is no more Saquon Barkley and continuing to explore talent via all avenues would be wise of the Giants' GM. Especially if the Giants want to remain competitive in 2024. A Pro Bowl selection in his rookie campaign, a fresh start for Najee Harris could provide the breath of air he needs to work back to his high level of production.

No he comes over cheap but if he’s getting 1000 yards a season he’s gonna want to get paid next season. Plus there is overlap between singletary and Harris. Maybe you could have gotten him as the primary option. I wouldn’t trade 2 players for him though

Not for nothing. But assets have been put into the offensive line form top picks to FA signings. CJ Stroud was missing almost the entire starting Oline for the first six weeks last season. It comes down to continuity, schemes, players, and scheme fit at this point because they have invested in that OL. And not for nothing Devitto looked night and day better behind that same Oline DJ sucked ass in

I think it’s a mistake.. we have running backs on the team with great potential. Let’s give them a chance. Unfortunately the Giants are scrambling because of the loss of Barkley. We have a great young team.. let them grow together and develop their own identity without Barkley. Harris isn’t the answer.

Not to mention a weak O line trying to gel will benefit from a good running game, which also takes pressure off a weak QB throwing to undeveloped WRs. I am OK with adding him. Grey has bust written all over him and the other guy who knows.

Just don't see a reason to have Devin Singletary and Najee on the same roster. I like Najee, it's not the worst value in terms of a trade. If he was 24-25 years old, had an additional year left on his contract, I'd be way more tempted. Even more so if we hadn't acquired Devin. But I just don't see it, not a necessity at all. I want to see Tyrone Tracy get some work this year and bringing in Najee would drastically take away his potential reps.

As a Giants fan, hearing that Saquon wasn’t a “difference maker” or that he is “overrated” is just sad. He was a big loss, and when he isn’t injured he plays his heart out. Losing Saquon was huge for the Giants, we lost a playmaker, which is something we’ve needed for a while now.

I want the giants to focus on the young talent we have there should be three backs and that's Devin, turbo Miller, and Tracy. I feel the same about the wide receiver room, one vet is enough but we need to focus on the young talent that can be productive In the future.

If Parcells was coach calling triple TE sets then Yes. With Daboll in calling 3 + 4 WR sets then a big NO. Not a good RB for his style. Our RBs are good.

As stated they turned down his 5th year option so you could sign him next off season without giving up picks he is less productive than singletary and they have some young players they need to give carries too if they want to trade for a right tackle or cb2 I would much prefer that ahead of another rb

Why an RB? Singletary will do great behind a good o-line. Develop and try these new kids that we already have that are good. We need all of the draft picks we have for next year’s draft! If the Giants decide not to stay with DJ we need those picks.

A for absolutely he seems like the perfect change of pace back to Devon, Singletary, Tyrone Tracy, and even Eric Gray like you said he’s had 1000 yards every year put him in a running back rotation he’ll bring that element and you could use him in goal line every once in a while, possibly the occasional third and one and he actually does have pretty good hands for his size. Nothing like Christian McCaffrey but still he’s not. He’s not like Derek Henry lol feet for hands but I see it a lot in the NFL. These really talented players do a lot better when they go to different places for instance, the Jets don’t like to speak about it but they let go of meki becton ( 6’5-6’6 350+ pounds he is doing absolutely ridiculous for Philadelphia Eagles but as a guard, ( lucky us ) I hope Brian Burns dominate the eagles -the Jets didn’t wanna lose money by making him a guard after how much craze was around him pre draft I should say I won’t be surprised if he gets his first pro bowl not this year. He’s a huge guy may not be the fastest dancing bear on the field, but he is one big dude, I really would’ve wish things would’ve worked out with him and the Jets. Unfortunately they didn’t want to take the risk of making him a guard.

This would make no sense, they signed Singletary in FA and drafted Tracy, if they don't think that would be enough to go into this season and they feel the need to trade away future assets on a RB that will also need to be paid at the end of the season, they should have just overpaid for Barkley in the first place. If they go through with this it's gonna look like Joe realized he messed up not keeping Barkley and now trying to make up for it and at the end of the day will end up spending more on the position that he's been adamant on not spending much on.

A 6th (2025) and a 4th (2026)? That's a freaken steal for Najee! #26 was injury prone before 26, that's why you don't give him the bag. Najee has yet to have major injuries that have kept him out of major playing time. Having both Harris and Motor helps our team, with an OLine still trying to figure themselves out. One goes down, we have another in this case... If they're both healthy by trade deadline, we have some bait for more picks/players to dish one of the out.

@@Nope-gk3yr Motor is the only NFL proven RB, behind the NFL's worst oline.. he's bound to get dinged up. Having Najee gives us a second to help keep Motor fresh, and if they're both healthy by trade deadline, one goes and helps us again in another way.

@@Nope-gk3yr Technically, we don't need to pay him anymore than he's currently being paid. 4.15M isn't much for a season. I still see it as low risk, high reward. Dual RB threats. Injury padding. Trade bait at the Deadline if all is well. I get where you're coming from, we have better needs..... but I'm also interested on where else PIT has shopped him.
