I feel sorry for Marine and other overseas players that have to taken those hard choice to choose to play for their home team's in Europe or not and national teams due the WNBA rules...

But she is no given much time to play even the others. They were just seating watching how the super five playing very tired. It was good they won the commissioners cup because of Thornton and Johannes contribution.

Hopefully next year the New York Liberty's individualistic style of play would change to a team game. Or maybe Marine will get a chance to play for another team with a collective vision to see her at her best. Playing with her Asvel Femenine team against players like Breanna Stewart, Emma Meeseman, Chelsea Gray, Alyssa Thomas, Kahlea Cooper, Satou Sabally, Kayla McBride, Alysha Clark and many others (They play in Europe year after year for the simple reason that the salary is one million for the best, 4 times more than the best salary in WBA) she normally scores 18 to 23 points per game, with a 3 point shooting percentage of 43% minimum. And eventually she surprises us with 38 point games. By the way she was the MVP in the 22/23 season finals. I can't wait for her return to the French league championship and the Euroleague championship. I hope to see this season her classic one-legged 3-point shots and her one-handed 3-point shots.

Great post. Marine’s left eyebrow shooting up at 19:47 made me laugh. Steph and Marine are like real people who care for each other. Not your typical jocks (oh sorry - not sure of the female equivalent). Hope they get to play together again on a team. 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

These two did a great job of making light about the recent loss to LV with the knives in their back. Their style of play disrupts the standard stand around the 3 point line adopted by every other team in the WNBA. The Liberty lost the Championship playing with that technique, and these 2 show great professionalism by not pointing that out in this interview. They deserve better respect than they got from Liberty. Better luck next year.

Marina johanas, She's just a fancy player thats very inconsistent. She Only had 1 good half of basketball in the entire playoffs, Half.. & she plays no defense. They need to release her & Joyclen willioybe together to bring physical athletic defensive & faster players to beat the Aces in the playoffs next year. Dogs not soft players.. I'm just being honest.. bring in to defensive minded players physical & that can bring fear on the opponents. Bring in Teà Cooper & bring back Didi Richards. There hard nose physical players & also Chennedy Carter...

I have always been confused by defense statistics. For example...those named as the best defensive players (first and second team) in these final games are the ones who allow the most points. So I believe, according to numbers, that being physical and tough doesn't avoid points. It's just a style of play that some like and some don't. It's like trash talking...some find it to be good and others prefer silence.

She had 1 good half in the entire playoffs. She's been ghost on Offense & defensive. How many steals she has ? None. No defense like I said for a player who had quality time in the games.. Release her for A better active player defensively & Offensively that's more physical & athletic.. point blank. Her & Joyclen willioybe both..

And jj needs a lite psychological therapy, after this year and last year finals.

oh yeah....as french from flatbush i went to see NYL several times in barclay, you can't imagine how as french we were proud to see a french player playing basketball in a wnba team in NYC....we were plenty french in barclay to support our hero Johannes.
