Did you know New York had it's own Crystal Palace? It was introduced at the first known World's Fair Exhibition in North America, 1853. The idea was conceived in the summer of 1852, yet managed to be built in time for the World's Fair on July 14, 1853! I was fortunate to discover my father's book "New York in the Nineteen Century...." by John Grafton, where I found out about this "short-lived" magnificent greenhouse like structure with a beautiful dome, and the Latting Observatory, also "built in 1853" unfortunately, both structures would be burnt down within a little over 5 years! I also cover the City Hall fire of 1858, where the cupola of city hall was destroyed during a fireworks celebration of the laying of the transatlantic telegraph cable! I also explore the megalithic-like Croton Distributing Reservoir, was adjacent to the Crystal Palace, and which once existed until demolished/converted? into the New York Public Library in the early 1900s. A special thank you to the You Tube Channel @Restitutor_Orbis_214 Lucius Aurelian for mentioning me on your "Colossal Trees-A Lost Glory" video and for your awesome presentation of the Jones Beach Water Tower • Colossal Trees-A Lost ... you are awesome brother! Here's the link to that Crystal Palace Exploration Page which has some amazing photos, memorabilia and history by the Bard Graduate Center crystalpalace.visualizingnyc.... Thank you all so much for subscribing I love all of your comments, encouragement, and feedback you are all a blessing! #mudflood #newyorkhistory #tartaria #tartarian #tartarianarchitecture #crystalpalace #oldworld #oldworldarchitecture #repurposed #worldsfair #1853 #manhattan

This kind of stuff was all over the world. Tartaria, or great time of consciousness, art and peace. Things like that are not built by a societies people that are in survival mode. ALL of these Old World buildings have fire stories

Lol. What era would that have been? It is my belief that no city has ever had a good “ mayor” A baseball team maybe. A politician?? Absolutely not!

New subscriber, new fan. Inquire with the library what happened to the reservoir/water. I’d love a follow up. Keep up the great work. I’m going to watch your previous videos. Continued good luck.
