I like the Sorry We're Open sign. I saw that years ago on a comedy video and always thought it was just a joke. I never knew a sign like that actually existed. Pretty cool stuff in there. Looks like a cross between an antique shop and a year round garage sale.

I went to new york when I was like 11 and while it was fun I thought why would anyone wanna live here and I've thought that all the way up until last week. I stumbled upon "No Particular Hours" during my first trip to NYC. It was a rainy day, I was just looking for some shelter and ended up in this store. It really is an amazing place to explore. Lots of cool stuff! I actually bought one of those licence plates back then. :D As a lover of street art, I would definitely check out the 191st Subway Station next time.

I lived in NY for 10 years and never did anything touristy, so now every time I go back I indulge, Ive had the pleasure of being able to take 2 of my kids 2 years in a row back for the Thanksgiving Day Parade and your video on the wooden escalater in Macy's came in very handy when we found it!! You should do a video on how to get a taxi to the DUMBO, you'd be shocked at how many cab rides either wont or dont know how to take you there. Love your video's!

Shinran Shonin Statue is my favorite secret spot to take visitors ...it's way off the tourist track. Only the feather store was unfamiliar.. I used to walk through the 191st subway tunnel over 50 years ago heading back from George Washington HS ; back then, the walls were clear of graffiti, however, now it's a colorful spectacle . Thanks for this video, Jon, and keep up your labor of love. There are a few more secret spots i can show you and Actionkid... hit me up.

Lighthouse and tunnel high up on my list, when visiting again with my husband, he loves long walks. If I have two hours to spare, will definitely browse in the garage sale or get me my feathers;-)
