It is made up of 80% Rye and 20% Malted Barley. Aged only 2 years, but is a burst of flavor that surprised us both.

Kings County is one of the local distilleries to me. It's right across from the Brooklyn Navy Yard where they built many of the big ships used in WWII. It's a great stop if you are in NYC. They have a ton of interesting bottles including a peated bourbon. However, their Kings Code bottle is a standout. It's a blend of Kings County whiskey and Irish whiskey and it's 121 proof. It was created by Irene Tan who works with the whiskeytube channel The Whiskey Vault and she runs Whiskey Mentors. Irene has blended one of the truly great whiskeys that is available today. I haven't had a bad Kings County but Kings Code is special.

On vacation in New England recently and I always check out local liquor stores for something special and local to the area. Came across a Kings County 7yrBIB bourbon. Holy cow! Amazing flavors and I need to search for other offerings. Next time I'm driving through NYC I will plan to stop at the distillery if possible. Thanks for the video guys.
