Didn't think Darmon's scat on the album was very good, but the one here is pretty exceptional...and I love the band's intro, I think it really starts the arrangement off with the right energy!

Heard this on endless occasions. My appetite hasn't diminished. How do you manage this, New York Voices. Jaw dropping. Stay Blessed Stay Healthy

I loved the New York Voices since day one-:) Coltrane's Giant blew me away by their performance. I met the Manhattan Transfer now I need to shake hands with the New York Voices someday.

The first time I heard NYV is when I fell head over heels in love with vocal jazz harmony.

Il jazz, prima di tutto, è dizione, ovvero pronuncia delle note. Ne abbiamo un chiaro esempio in questa esecuzione !!!

Paying homage to the Master saxophonist John Coltrane's classic song, "Giant Steps". The arranger crafted this song perfectly!!! The saxophonist solo was erg goed! (even heard a few licks by Coltrane in there".

I thought so too until I discovered that most of his solo is note-for-note Rahsaan Roland Kirk's version: Giant Steps - Rahsaan Roland Kirk

Yeah they're brilliant but Kendrick Lamar just won the Pulitzer for Music. Evidently artistic standards have fallen in some higher circles lately folks . . .

Ron Robbins I’m not sure what you mean by this, but if it is putting Kendrick down then I think you should listen to “ To Pimp a Butterfly “ it’s arguably in the top 10 hip hop albums ever produced, regardless on wether you like hip hop or not, Kendrick really is a musical and lyrical genius, real a genuine artist in every sense of the word, just cuz he hustlin’ and makin’ real moves at the side too doesn’t take that away from him

"just cuz he hustlin’ and makin’ real moves at the side too doesn’t take that away from him" Huh??
@ronrobbins2737 Жыл бұрын
@@kevingoss1189 I'll take a stab here ....."he may not play an instrument, sing, write or read music, but he's still a 'musical genius.'
