The two looks are similar but I don’t mind. To me the palette offers so many beautiful “ one and done “ shadows that it’s worth it to me. It’s quite often that her shadows are deeper when applied than in the palette, and I don’t mind that at all. That means that more people ( woc ) can use it. 💕

I think it is hard not to get a green look with the palette because there are only a few colors that don’t have a green undertone (like maybe three). I don’t mind, though, because I LOVE green and have already pre-ordered it from Natasha Denona’s website!

But now I realize that I like these shades so much that I probably have them all...between my Melt Gemini and beetlejuice palettes, ND bronze and gold and metropolis palettes, I think I’ve got enough greens and golds for 2 lifetimes 😳🤪🤣

Calathea and Fushi are the only cream to powders I noticed on her Instagram. You have to scroll down in her Instagram description a bit to see the shade breakdown with their formulas and shade descriptions. I feel like like the cream to powders always look darker in the pan then they show up on the eye. I think the trick with this palette to avoid all the looks being the same kind swampy green is to avoid blending the darker greens too much into the yellow or the orange. Even though, the swampy, murky greens give me life, so no complaints here.

It’s a stunning palette, I just wish it had a little more variety. I’m worried that every look will end up being green. Love both of the looks you did even though they turned out looking so similar! Can’t believe you got a hold of it so fast!

congrats on being the first one to post a review on this palette! it looks right up my alley(therefore i already have similar shades). the two looks are def similar, but very pretty! this just shows that slight variation in color in the pan doesn’t necessarily translate on the eye. as we blend eyeshadow, the pigment becomes more sheer and therefore not true to pan.

I'm a sucker for safari and khaki greens. I'm sure I have most of these shades, the greens and mustards in my Martine Cosmetics 669 palette, their Mission Triple X palette, and their newest release the Moula Bank palette. But, I'm still getting this palette. I LOVE Natasha's cream-to-powder and creamy matte formula and that's what makes this palette standout for me. Thanks for the swatches and looks 😊

ND palettes often have shades that are too close together in color to make a difference. I don't like that one bit. I'd get the Ace Beaute Tropical Vibes over this, Bh Cosmetics Avocado Toast, Menagerie Killer Purr.. that's all the ones that come to mind with a similar color story, cheaper, excellent quality, and variety. IM sure there are more

The eye looks look similar because it is a pretty monochromatic palette, just like the bronze palette. I am not mad about it because I love the tones, but some may not be happy with that. The eyes look similar because combining a warmer olive green with a greeny yellow and combining a cooler-toned dark green with a warm sunflower yellow gives pretty much the same vibe (the cool toned green makes warm yellow look more of a greeny yellow, and the sunflower yellow warms up the cool toned green). The shades are definitely very distinct if used alone.

Yeah, this was exactly what I was afraid of: I thought that I wouldn't be able to make different looks with this, that it would be a one-look-palette. That's fine, but I have to much greens already, and this one is too expensive to be a one trick pony. I really lusted over this one, so this video was very helpful. I now know for certain that I don't need it. It is gorgeous though.

I wish there was one more inner corner bright shade that was maybe a light cream/beige tone.. I'm just about to pre order this today! 😍 I was considering the new Nomad, but looking at my Berlin Underground palette, I decided that had many shades similar to this new safari themed one. I've only got one ND palette in the 15 pan format (the Love) & none of the others ever grabbed me - til now! 🎉Beautiful looks - they are a similar vibe, but I'm a sucker bcos I'm never, EVER going to get tired of greens! 💚 Tfs lovely! 😘

This is by farrrr my favorite color story by Natasha Denona, BUT I own UD Honey, Melt 420, and Melts Gemini and I think I could probably get the same looks with those, although it would be nice to have all these beautiful shades in one spot, and in ND's formula.

Btw, I think a good way to get some variation out of the pallet, is to do alot of "one and done type looks" like use only a bright shade all over with a pop of shimmer on the center of the lid, and then do the same for the darker shades. Or even all shimmer or all matte looks. These tones are so beautiful they can stand alone, and still steal the show! Beautiful Video love!

This was a great first look at the palette! Kudos on getting your hands on it before anyone else! I already ordered mine but now that I finished watching, those two looks were very similar. Maybe due to you putting the same color in the inner corner? They read quickly like the same eyeshadows on both sides.

I’m one of those annoying people that say nah I clean my brushes every time I do my makeup so I’m good. Lol. I looked at the blue shimmer and thought how would anyone be able to do a look in that palette alone with that shade like that. And then you came up with a great idea. Nice looks.

I saw this palette on a new makeup release video with Heather Austin this morning before work. I thought WOW I need this! It’s my birthday next week so I’m gonna treat myself to it. Hi Kerry, love the looks you created. I think the colors will appear somewhat similar because of people's undertones. Sooo...if you have an olive or green undertone they will look or appear a certain way. I preordered the palatte yesterday.

I really enjoyed your video, your swatches and eye looks! It’s a beautiful palette! I can definitely see a difference between the lid colors, but the eye looks are quite similar. Using the same color on the inner eyes simply tied the looks together. At least they’re cohesive, right?!

First of all, the top you have on is perfect for this palette and you look amazing in it! I do agree that the looks are a quite similar from afar. The looks are gorgeous. This is definitely a great tone on your skin. The blush and highlighter you used were perfection. I would love to see a tutorial on how you wing out your shadow so beautifully. Gorgeous looks Kerry. I can’t believe you got your mitts on it so quickly. I raced over to Flannels yesterday but it had been removed 😂. So then I thought , no problem, I’ll wait until it comes to the UK rather than do the pre order, so I won’t have to pay $20 for shipping. Then I clicked on your vid and after about two minutes I had to pause you and head over to ND to order it 😂. I know from previous experience though, that it will arrive promptly on the launch day - possibly even before, so no more FOMO 😂😂😂. Also, I don’t know if you’ve seen it yet, but Sydney Grace are launching a new collab palette on June 7, and it looks right up my street, so there you have it - bye bye money 😂😂😂

That IS interesting that both eyes look the same. Maybe that darker orange tone would have made a difference. I mean, this palette isn't bold enough for me but it is gorgeous! Well done.

Ohhhh that is a good comparison ! They have similar feels but tropical vibes is more vibrant and punchy I’d say. This ND one feels a little bit more relaxed and easy going. As I love impact I’d lean more towards tropical vibes but I love both x

It’s not so much the actual colors, but the curation. I am not the kind of person to pull out three or four palettes to get a look. I might use a palette and maybe one single shade or something for a pop but that is it. I see a lot of people saying they have these shades already but I love having all the shades in the one palette.

It’s wild how similar these pulled ….I have a fair olive skintine and these are my kinda greens! Retro glam didn’t work the best on my skin tone the neutrals especially almost clashed/ worked against me…it was wild. So I’m thrilled with this one. Subscribed, glad to have found you ❤

This is my first video I've seen of yours and I love it. You did two great looks and showed the versatility of the pallet. I'm so darn happy I pre-ordered it. I can't wait to play with it. You COULD do a cool toned look by avoiding the yellows and just playing with that taupe silver shade and the dark one next to it, upper left. Stay on the cool side of the palette (they are broken in half looks to me) and I love that she gave us the ability to do both warm and cool or mix them together if we wanted. Her website shows an all silvery smokey cool look, but the star of the show, I think is the duochrome you mentioned, upper left (forgot the name) and love that gold. I think a green, gold smokey look is so cool on everyone. Can't be beat. I'm looking forward to getting the palette and watching more of your videos. Bravo for getting it first. Would love to see you try more looks.

Thanks for the video!!!! I was really interested in seing the palette and swatches live already! I actually really like the color story and I am sure the quality is amazing but somehow I think it is nothing outstanding or unique in my collection and it might be easy to dupe with shadows I already have. I will not get it. At the moment I am loving palettes by some indie brands which are amazing. From Natasha... I will stick to my beloved Bronze palette!

Hmm this could suffer from the same issue that the Retro Glam palette had which was that you could have easily made a nine pan out of it because a lot of the shades had a slight tone difference in the pan, but actually looked the same in the eye lid. I'm not exactly fan if this beginning to be a pattern with her new palettes, because while I love to pay for the ND quality, I don't want to pay almost 70 euros for duplicate shades within the same palette.

I think the inner corner is make the shadows look the same, I think if you used the peach,orange and brown it would have given a different look. It is aa beautiful palette. I do have a similar palette by colored Raine, the safari Raine palette.

I’m shocked how even the blending out shade looked so similar on the eye too though. It may be my undertone pulling things slightly too 🤔 I don’t think I have any coloured rained palettes! X

PLEASEEEE i'm dying to know are any of these shades a dupe for mochi from the gemini palette? i've never been able to find anything close to it (it's always too brown, too green, too dark etc...) but there's two shades in this that look like they may answer my prayers finally TT__TT

I definitely am buying this one I really want the new pencils she launched with it the green one. Ur the first video I have seen on this pallet. I went to buy it when it was linked on flannels but I was their in seconds after it was linked and it was gone but it's not a long wait so happy about that , I was wondering after that love pallet was linked it took forever to actually come out and I don't think anyone wanted it by the time it actually came out with all the bad reviews.

I can see a difference in your eye looks. But they are similar because of the mattes. I’m a Natasha Denona fan and I may pick this one up but I do have similar shades in my Melt Gemini and Juvias Place Nomad palettes. Cute looks and thanks for posting this so fast!
