I am a retired U.S. military dude, living full time in the Philippines (Oriental Mindoro). Of course in these clips, they show you only the best places. There are many not-so-good places as well, BUT, the pluses FAR outnumber the minuses! Our home has coconut and banana trees all around it (and in our property!) We live about 200 yards from the ocean, and can go to a beach any day we wish! Local sellers bring fresh fruit, veggies, and seafood straight to our gate daily! We store almost nothing in the fridge bc we can get it fresh every day. The locals are very friendly, and there's not much chance of being bored! We have the easiest life one can imagine!

This is true maybe because this is an advertising video for tourism but there are more positive than negative in the philippines. Behind this beauty there are a lot of poor filipinos but most poor filipinos they are the one who is most willing to give/help other people whatever your race is.

Hi! Good day dude. You said "they show you only the best places. There are many not-so-good places as well." 110% I agree to that. I can also say that I am not proud of our leaders. They simply don't have balls to lead the people. They are so afraid of the Catholics. This religion who is always intervening the government causes a lot of problems in the country. You see we are 110m now. And partly because of the Catholics. Population education were not taught at school or community. Simply because the Catholics blocked the idea. And the huge example of bad results of that were shown during the pandemic. The government simply can not sustained to support the people because of the magnitude of the population. In this country there are so much gay people next to Thailand. So much street children. And so forth. I don't know if you get my point. But just imagine what happen when 30m people buy basic needs. Prices will go up because of the demand. And the result of high prices is people will slow down spending. The end result is inflation will be double digit. That's the bad side of to much population growth. For now you can enjoy fresh cheap food available at your door step every morning. But believe me it will not last long. So save whatever you can save.

@@emanarroyo7143 I understand, of course, and know how much a small island chain, like the Philippines, can be over populated. There is no real places to expand, so either you get Filipino's who are "forced" to leave the country, for jobs or whatever, or you get overcrowded cities. Overcrowded cities lead to less jobs, higher prices, and far more basura (trash). And since the trash service is very limited, you get areas where it just piles up, which is HIGHLY unsanitary and germ-filled. Of course, the WORST thing is throwing, or dumping, trash into the ocean or rivers. That is simply an awful, unthinking thing to do. I try not to get into religious or political debates, so I'll skip that part.

I totally agree with you. I was born & raised there & most of these places are beautiful but i haven’t seen or visit most of them. Now that i am earning dollar & quite saved much, i can travel back home & see most of these nice places. Only problem is, i do not have very many relatives left there & if i do, i do not want to impose. I have few friends here in the US who spend lots of time home after retirement here coz they still ha ve lots of relatives there to take them around. Of course at their expense spending dollars that u can stretch far coz $1 is 100 pesos exchange now. But my other problem is my heart, i had a stroke twice now & if i get an attack there, i will probably come back here to my family in a box. Scary just a thought of it. I wish i do not have heart problem. Oh well…

I've had mangoes from allover the world, by far mangoes from PH is in a league on its own. My mom would plan her visit to PH during fruit season, it's that good! The pink sand are from the pink corals. I also grew up in the mountains and have travelled the world in many wild nature places, the color green in PH is something I've never seen, it's like a whole new color type of green, so beautiful. I visited PH in early 90' came back in 2016 and 2017. I was suppose to go again, but corona virus hit. I will definitely go this year or next year. NZ is also on my bucket list. I'm a fly fisherman, and NZ has 1 of the best places to fly fish.

Yes, the Philippines has so many beautiful places. Even its people are some of the friendliest and most resilient people in the world, and yet the Philippine government and mainstream media don't realize the true potential of the country. It is also rich in oil and natural resources. We are hoping for the leaders to act now for the betterment of the country. This country could rise again from the ashes.

Philippines its an endless adventure, you only have seen the small amount of scenery...but theres a lot more of what you have viewed...and a more beautiful undisturbed places, mountains ,beaches, natural formations of nature...and of course the people will welcome you with utmost respect, than any other country in asian nations, and probably in the whole world...as well as the great foods you will love for sure....but i suggest if you travel here bring someone with you so you can enjoy both with amazement....i also love new zealand some of my family are in Australia, i've been in Australia for quite sometime...new zealand is my next country to explore, and i love the scenery and the farm there...

The islands can be reached by plane, ship or car. You just have to be prepared because it will take a long trip to reach each island, especially if you are traveling overland. The Philippine Islands are truly beautiful, and very diversified! Locals are friendly too and can speak/understand English pretty well. So, the communication between locals and foreigners is not a challenge.

If you want to go to the Philippines, plan really well your visit. 1st It will save you time and maximize your adventure. 2nd it will you money because as you have seen/observed we have 7,641 island and 2,000+ inhabited. So, ask youself what do you want to see, experience and learn from our country. Make sure you either visit 2-3 islands near each other so the time of hopping from each island is short and less expense in traveling. Or just visit Luzon provinces so travel is just by land. You can even travel from north to south and see many beautiful places. Check out the map and then check back this video or check other YT videos. These are just suggestions. Don’t get too excited to see all the beautiful places unless you had saved big for your visit. But then again you don’t want to be too stressed out traveling form one island to another and you’re too exhausted to really enjoy your vacation and you might even get sick from it. YOu can always come back. Welcome to our country… in the future 😊👍🏼🇵🇭

Watching foreigners travel and lifestyle blogs about the Philippines makes it both heart warming and sad. It's heartwarming how foreigns appreciate and enjoy the beauty of both the country and it's people. It's sad because not too many of the locals enjoy and appreciate both their own country and their people. The locals are mostly busy trying to survive the everyday life. But I still have high hopes for my country and my people.

Hello Courtney! Just saw this post of yours. Hope you visit soon! To explain the Ads: Each ad placement is grouped by the Administrative Regions of the country. The Upper left corner of the videos has which Region each Ad is associated with. At the end of every Ad are the provinces in each Admin Region. Regions can be divided by geography, and sometimes by ethnicity or language spoken. It can be composed of several islands, or have provinces that span two or three islands. Luzon, for example, is subdivided into the Ilocos Region, Ifugao Region, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, and Bicol Region. And we get from island to island by boat or plane. boat mostly, and plane for the major islands
