Be good to see the All Blacks try a few drop kicks for easy points. Came back to haunt us when we never had that option covered. Especially in a tight match in the World Cup.

They don’t play the same kicking game. The boks’ kicking game is keeping the ball for a couple phases and then kick it, 20 times. The All Blacks made attacking kicks, high contestable kicks that unlocked our defence and cross kicks that destroyed us. Very different things. Naturally the boks’ kicking is significantly more boring than the all blacks

The kicking and contesting is going to be a massive benefit for NZ in the RWC. It could cause the likes of France many problems. I like the variation from NZ in this game. Yes they know what they need to work on and I am sure they will get better and better ready for the RWC. Good stuff.

We won't win , highly unlikely. Don't think an Irishman thinks we're going to win even though we're ranked number 1 . Tough group with SA and Scotland and who knows about Tonga but then you've to get through that and then have to play either an on form NZ team who's unbeatable when on their best or else France at home who are unreal ..We can always dream

The ref cheated the boks. Gave the cheating all craps a penalty when they infringed at the scrum. Didn't give us a try which clearly was a try. Will Jordan's first try their 13 prevented Mapimps from tackling Jordan. All those up, Boks win. NZ cheated us and won as usual. Dirty ref paid by World Rugby to ensure NZ dominance due to money.

Great game by the AB and tough as a Bok fan to experience the first 20 minutes. I feel like the Boks can actually learn from this and some big questions were answered especially aroind Vermeulen who needs to be in the match day 23. We came back hard but suspect or hoping WC time we a bit more tuned in to not let the game get away from us so quickly.

it's amazing how everyone thinks the All Blacks are now the best in the world against a Bok team that was undercooked........you will never play the best game if the team has not played together for a period of time......Jeff himself made that point pretty clear so relax guys and wait till the world cup begins and then we will see who is the best at the end of the tournament

Forwards win matches, backs by how much. I've heard it said that Mo'unga looks ordinary going backward, well, I have yet to see a first five shine when their forwards are going backward. The Blues had a Rolls Royce backline vs Crusaders but their backline was made to look like poorly coached schoolboys in the Final due to their forwards being dominated. I truly believe the All Blacks will only require discipline and parity in the forwards, at least, in order to be victorious in the approaching World Cup due to the incredibly difficult lessons from the last few years that the All Blacks are now turning into gold, writ large after the Boks and Pumas being dispatched with aplomb. Not looking forward to the Bok Test at Twickenham because if either team lost and then hit a rich vein of form in the WC and got up and won it then nobody will remember the Twickenham Test as anything other than an aberration and the thing I fear is one of our game-breakers being injured. ...then there are the refs...cards...interpretations...mindset...

The Boks use rope a dope between world cups, especially in the years just before. It will be a totally different level at the world cup, so bear that in mind. The All Blacks are moving forward; work still to do.

twelve changes to the boks side, it was their first game for alot of the boks, bit of a cold start but out played all blacks in 2nd half (17-15 points I think). I dont hink anyone is in a better spot then the boks. all blacks played well, enouch to defend a very good first 20 min. both teams can win the rwc, its about consistancy from here on.

I honestly don't think there was an actual plan of attack other than keeping it simple and attacking with kicks. It was really only quick plays of the ball and eyes up footy out there and making all tackles count

@@juicybombay3534 all international teams especially at this level have very elaborate plans of attack and defence . Its what professionals do. It doesn't guarantee it will work as Tyson says everyone has a plan until they are punched in the face.

@@MrAhuapai eyes up footy can never be planned my friend. It's judged off pure instincts. Something most teams and/or players never really apply to their game PLAN. IMO the biggest PLAN they had was to beat the Boks quick line defence by chipping over the top to re-gather, staying solid in the rucks and beating them on every line-out possible. Everything else was Eyes-Up. Watch the game again.

The ABs were sublime in the fist 20 minutes and the Boks were shell-shocked and made big blunders throughout the match that kept them from asserting any dominance. Doubt they will be as poor again this season. This rusty game may have been the result of players playing in disparate leagues (SA, Europe, UK, Japan). Also, even though he has played there before Damian Willemse is not a flyhalf and we have never had direction with him at 10. Brilliant player and gives his all, just not at 10 please.

I think what the point is that the AB fell off the pace where the previous AB teams would put another 30 points easily on a team under pressure. Boks bench changed the momentum but the AB were just too good in the end.

The AB were great on the day. But what do you expect from a team who plays with a 10 that are not even a good 15. He is not a regular player in any position. Dump, stupid or arrogant form the Bok coaching staff? The Boks were dominated up front as well with the 7 and 8 who did not perform well on the day. Not to mention their centers who did nothing and Mapimpi who never was a good defender, playmaker and good under the high ball. The Boks need a few new players in vital positions, done!

Boks lost more than NZ won. SA's starting guys were off the pace as it was their first test of the year. The were caught a bit flat footed. Simple as that. SA's 20 mins of missed tackles cost the Boks.

You are right the ABs did kick a lot more than we're used to seeing. I feel this is a strategy the ABs will and should use with the personal they have selected. Richie, Boddie, and Aaron kicking with Will and Mark chasing, obvious tactic really.

All the credit to the ABs for exploiting and mastering the kick and chase to negate the Boks. Great win. Just ironic that when other teams kick alot this panel mouns alot, but when the ABS kick its brilliant. Either way part of the game and the team since 2009 that kicks the most, still has the nest chance to win the game.

Why did none of them say. NZ entered rucks from the side 38 times not penalized once. Ad diving in, not support own weight, sealing off, standing beside rucks and onto the line-out supporter early as the ball left the SA no.2 hands, not penalized once. NZ old strategie of combining quality rugby with cheating rugby allowed them to get away with murder. Their coaches Graham Henry, Joe Schmidt, Warren Gatland, Wayne Pivac, Jamie Joseph and Dave Rennie did a big disservice to rugby by coaching the NZ way to combine quality with cheating rugby. In 2021 three from NZ conspired to sink SA in Cardiff. Graham Mourie chairman of World Referees Assoc, Wayne Pivac and Paul Williams ref. In first 8 minutes Wales made 19 penalize able mistakes not penalized once. Many more examples. NZ a corrupt rugby nation !!! With Scott Robinson next we do not expect anything different as the Crusaders cheats even more than NZ. It was not about appointing the best coach but to appoint the biggest cheat. Two tries in final v Chiefs after double banking in line-out !!!
