Hello Fellow Crafters and Creatives!
In today's video I am a tad excited about the new Zuri Moulds that I have recently bought form The Craft Store. I went a bit overboard as they were on offer. But I can honestly say they are even better in real life than seeing them on the television.
I decided to have a look at using Hearty clay in them. Now, in all honesty, I had not previously had success with Hearty clay and moulds, so this was a real learning experience.
What I would take from this is the importance of getting to know your clay, whether it is Hearty or another brand. Straight form the packet it will stick to the mould, no matter mow much releaser you apply.
When you know your clay, you will know exactly when it is good to go into the mould. It's about experimenting, as the time it takes depends on things like the temperature and the humidity of the room you are in, as well as the age of the clay and how long it has been open.
What can I say about the moulds, other than WOW!! The detail they provide are amazing. They are on a solid base so you know they are not going to wonky, and they are really easy to bend in order to release the clay.
Since making the video I have also used Eurocast, fast cast resin, in the moulds and this was amazing. Watch out for a video of this.
I am at the very start of my Zuri journey but I think it safe to say my collection will be growing, and growing, and growing!
