I don't understand why it's necessary to pierce ears on a baby. I believe there should be a minimum age for ear piercings, just like there is for tattoos. I feel sorry for that little baby.

POS. Me and my girlfriend are currently arguing about this with our 1 month old. She wants to get her ears peirced and I say absolutely not. I don't care if she won't remember the pain or not. She will be in pain regardless and its unnecessary. It could result in an infection or her pulling them out. Just don't understand. We should wait until she is old enough to make the decision on her own.

How can you pierce that newborn's ears just came into the world trying to adjust to it and then suddenly pain in her ears! I can't imagine how the baby must have beared it. It does not hurt. Just a quick slight pinch. It catches them off guard. It would catch u off guard. They live thru it and it is no worse than a shot.
