I don't understand why it's necessary to pierce ears on a baby. I believe there should be a minimum age for ear piercings, just like there is for tattoos. I feel sorry for that little baby.

POS. Me and my girlfriend are currently arguing about this with our 1 month old. She wants to get her ears peirced and I say absolutely not. I don't care if she won't remember the pain or not. She will be in pain regardless and its unnecessary. It could result in an infection or her pulling them out. Just don't understand. We should wait until she is old enough to make the decision on her own.

I would honestly get it done right away! We waited until my daughter was 5 and she screamed and was scared every time we put new earrings in or to clean the holes earrs... As babies they will not remember.

How can you pierce that newborn's ears just came into the world trying to adjust to it and then suddenly pain in her ears! I can't imagine how the baby must have beared it. She might be wondering what crimes did she do that she is getting such a punishment. I hate seeing babies cry. Even if it would have been a vaccine I would have understood. But this could wait until she turns into an adolescent. How I wish I would have been there to stop (slap) the cruel women laughing at the poor child . Bless her
