I remember the bedtime routines and how long and hard they are. I finally tried wearing noise canceling headphones. It really helped. You can still hear the kids and obviously you are seeing them, but it just took the edge off of the chaotic noise. You're doing great work with your babies!

I couldn’t help but smile hearing that Sophie sneaks in with ‘excuses’ to see you, I remember doing that with my mum & I loved that little bit of extra time I had with her, even if it was only 5 minutes! You’re both smashing this. Someone else I watch on KZfaq was saying, no matter how exhausted you are, how bad the day has been, how hectic, manic, crazy, dealing with the ‘terrible twos’ stage & how frazzled you both feel… one day, those days will all be gone. Your babies will fly the nest to independence & they’ll be silence in the house once more. I wasn’t blessed with babies, it’s all I wanted growing up, after 2 losses and then finding out I had 2 chronic genetic disabilities which greatly impacted my fertility / passing on said conditions, I had to come to terms with the fact I wouldn’t be a mummy. I’m 37 now & still get choked up that I’ll never be a mum. I worked with little ones for years & felt so blessed and honoured to watch these teeny humans grow, learn & become little personalities. I adored watching my nieces / nephew grow up, can’t believe they’re now 21 & 19?!! Where on earth did that time go! Maybe I’ll be lucky & they will have babies one day I can sniff (hahah, don’t you dare judge me for sniffing newborns, they’re delightful 😂), & kiss / cuddle. Until then, may I just say thank you for sharing a snippet of your life with me. It’s a true honour to see your little ones and laugh at your glorious British humour (let’s face it, we do it best, aha!) Love and blessings always xx

I know it sounds crazy, and also I have only one child. I survived the first months because of this! I followed my babys rhytm instead of creating one. I would write down his naps, sleep and feeding times every day. And after 2 weeks i could see a clear rythm. I followed his schedule. And then when he would go off it i knew something was happening. Either development period, or he was dropping a nap or he was getting sick. And then we would adapt the schedule based on what was going on. So when a naptime would drop we would have te keep hem more awake, so he could have longer second nap so to speak. And he had really bad reflux too. But after 4 months he slept through the night without waking up and without me having to stay with him. Till this day his sleep time and nap is really goed.
