Using newcastle, my biggest mistakes happen when attempting to use my ultimate. It is unpredictable 50% of the time and I’m a decent player with above average game sense. The ult is wonky. If I want to get position on a building it will launch me right up to the edge but slam down on the ground/edge of the building instead of on top of the building or if my teammate runs into frame while deploying it will sometimes lock on to the teammate mid flight and totally screw up the placement. Sometimes it’s just a jump and no wall comes out. I think it should be activated sort of like revenant tactical jump. So if you activate and simply press it’s a quick instant deploy no high jump slam animation just a throw down from a standing position. And if you hold down the ult you can aim vertically and horizontally a charged leap that can then be stopped at any point in the Jump(like lobas bracelet) to drop down on the perfect spot within the jump or just let it go max distance. This would solve so many buggy jumps or non activations where it stays red and you die because your spazzing looking around trying to get a blue icon to activate as quickly as possible. For some reason his ult is red icon always when you need it the fastest and blue instantly when you just casually whip it out 🤦🏽‍♂️. I would rather have the jump anamation be a hold/release then launch me to the red area and not deploy the castle wall for whatever reason instead of strafing back and forth trying to force a blue icon before I die. I hope this gets noticed. It will make Newcastle perfect and feel slick and reliable for more fast paced players. As is his ultimate is good if you play way slow behind your teammates always but the changes I mention will retain that same style if so desired but allow faster comp players to be a bit more aggressive with him knowing they have increased reliability with the ultimate. It’s not a buff imo but a QOL change for Newcastle that will round him out 100% …. Lastly maybe a toggle for lock on to teammates with ult?
