Jamies definitely need to get to the lab with Ransui Haze, I feel like there is a lot of potential set-ups/mix ups for each chain finisher. It is really easy to check as is, but it can be very interesting when it is meaty or when used as a bait like you show here.

Diamond 3 Jamie checking in. Hey, Kaution, I’ve been watching your Jamie videos since month 1 after getting plat with 8 characters trying to find a long term relationship haha. That said I really believe this series will grow all the way through SF6’s life. Bro I’ve been trying to find a combo/setup for the triple punch at 19:00 YOU ARE THE MAN! I think the biggest areas with lack of information out there right now that could up Jamie’s threat level would be: 1. When to use tensei kick (down kk) 2. Safe juggles states get sweep for free drink. (Accidental M to opponent jumping) 3. Resets for conditioning. RESETS Example; drive impact Into wall splat then Cr.H punch, DR-> St. M punch, Cr. H punch. Enemy is now invulnerable but you have 7F advantage. Stand M punch and Cr. H punch are good here but command grab is great at 8F startup if you can manage then1F delay, it’s very unexpected. 2nd example, if in the corner and use DR tensei kick into heavy air K, you can “miss” the Cr. H kick with frame advantage for a Cr. L punch. 4. 50/50 spaced palm vs likely free drink (example: let’s say you land target combo into L. Palm, you can light palm their wake up if they didn’t use wake up recovery, or you can take a drink if they use wake-up recovery. 5. Frame trap conditioning with special moves. I haven’t figured out bakai traps yet but I think we are sleeping on a few with EX bakai into Lv2 super and definitely EX drunken fist. Example for now I’m using is St. H kick into heavy palm or light palm. One is a block string while the other frame traps depending on spacing and opponent counter (4/5 frames will hit but most try M or H counter).. Ex: combo or naked EX pal into corner with Cr. H kick into 3rd or 4th drink gives +4 frames… perfect time to use command grab. 6. We need more situations for using the Ransui Haze triple punch and intoxicated assault (back H punch, ST. H punch, St. H Kick). Drive rush intoxicated assault has so more discovery, I know you covered a bit before. Hope this helps with some ideas, I know you’ve touched on some of them but we are still finding optimal spacing and frames to create options before neutral ensues. Thank you for all of your hard work Brutha!

I never had to, needed to, nor wanted to look this in depth into a fighting game character before. There’s just so much information specifically for him to thrive. It also goes to show how dangerous the character is potentially. One or two good buffs in the right hands like literally less drinks for maximum damage or starting with one drink or just even 95% damage could throw the whole community into turmoil fr.

You nailed it. Couldn't agree more but would still love to see smaller buffs like +1 extra frame on s.mp, it would cause it to link into s.mk on Punish counter which would be awesome

Just catching up on you're videos. The hozanshu counter is a great find. I actually find alot of success using overhead to counter hit crouch mk. Using it in the range you know they wanna press mk, i get it to wiff all the time. Same thing with cammys aswell.

Hey for the safe jump from tensei kick I figured out a nice setup that just needs timing, I doubt I found it first though. After the tensei kick delay neutral heavy punch and cancel into light arrow kick or light bakkai kick. Medium bakkai kick also confirms nicely for level 3 follow up.

Careful on the Reset into Ransui Haze. It seems to be character specific. After some fast labbing (needs double checking), Double 2KK Works vs Ken, Kimberly, Jamie, Juri, Ryu, Guile, & Chun Li. Single 2KK works vs Manon, Marisa, JP, Cammy, Dhalsim (not 4f, yes cr.lp), & Rashid. It doesn't seem to work at all vs Luke, Cammy, Lily (4f yes, not cr lp), Deejay (4f yes, not cr.lp), E Honda, Blanka (4f yes, not cr.lp), Zangief. Cheers!

Hey Kaution, love your content, and your jamie. I was wondering if you're going to continue with your character match up guides? DeeJay in particular, as i feel like i have such a hard time against that character as Jamie. Much love man thanks for your wisdom.

Hello, the matchup series will definitely continue, I have noticed myself I am struggling vs this character as well and I'll be labbing soon for deejay. Matchup might be worse than guile or jp imo
@josuevillarreal9792
@josuevillarreal9792 11 ай бұрын
I appreciate the labbing 100%, but I think some of these sequences need to be reconsidered at high level play. Here are a couple things I caught: 1. Anything that involves the opponent randomly standing and making your button whiff is not a good sequence. You're risking a missed normal, banking on them crouching, then get mashed on and potentially losing the round, because you know the nature of SF6. 2. The setup where you do 3 normals > sMK > DP is not a reliable sequence either. The last normal in the string leaves you at -1, after that you do sMK which is 29F total. This means it takes a total of 30 frames from the moment you end sLK string. This is not going to work out, because the average jump in ATTACK timing is about 35 frames or less. If Ken jumps, aiming to hit your head with jHP, the soonest he can hit your head is ~31f. This leaves only 1 frame to DP, and your DP 100% misses. If Ken does jHK, it takes about 35F to hit, which gives you a tiny window to delay DP, but competitively, it is unreliable, so you're risking the player jumping out freely. IF they delay their jump in button, you may be lucky and get to delay your own DP, but leaving it up to chance like that is not sound play. Regardless, it's a good sequence, which I will 100% use, but I have to consider them jumping out and accepting DP is not a good option. Cheers!
@josuevillarreal9792
@josuevillarreal9792 11 ай бұрын
On the contrary, if doing the 3 light sequence, you can just wait and react to his cMK, and just be mindful if you commit to sMK yourself(without reacting)🙂

While I won't say you are wrong, there are many unsafe things in sf6, considering the fact our opponent reacts with perfect defense or reactions. It all depends on how they will react to it. There aren't really a lot of solid answers in sf6 that cover everything at once. I'm not saying you are wrong tho, everything make sense, but it is considering the fact our opponent knows in advance of what I'm going to do.

I found a safe jump set up that can work midscreen. its only a +41 safe jump but nobody is light Dp'ing that anyways. You need level 4 drink so its lowkey useless but hey. It is Punish counter(or DR) 5MP ~ tensei kicks ~ first hit Light Rekka and boom +41 safejump from anywhere.
