Newest Mall & Hawker at Anchorvale Village in Sengkang 6月24日
Newest mall in the North-East Sengkang.
Hot on the heels of Northshore Plaza in Punggol, Sengkang Grand Mall in Buangkok, and The Woodleigh Mall in - well, Woodleigh, there’s yet another mall opening along the North-East Line: Anchorvale Village. It’s 2 LRT stops away from Sengkang MRT station, which means that residents of the Anchorvale and Fernvale regions no longer need to venture all the way to Compass One to shop and dine.
Because the mall just opened this month, there are plenty of opening deals to take advantage of. We headed down to suss out the most notable stores to visit, along with some lobangs which warrant a trip down even if you’re not a North-Eastie:
Nearby residents will get to flex that their neighbourhood grocery store is a high-level Anchorvale Village FairPrice. It is home to numerous ready-to-eat food stations, including Hong Kong-style roast meats, Chinese skewers from $1, sushi and bentos, and even a fresh yong tau food kiosk.
To stock up on quality seafood, head to The Seafood Market Place By Song Fish. They’re currently having a buy 1 get 1 free deal on fresh sea bass (from $9.40) and threadfin (from $30.05) fillets.
Besides fresh seafood, you can also pick up hotpot essentials here. There’s a deal on Brazilian premium pork collar and pork belly for $6 each, or $11 for 2. To recreate a Haidilao meal at home, pick up some of their Haidilao house brand meats (from $7.80), including chicken, pork, beef, and lamb. There’s also a 2 for $11.80 deal on Fuzhou meatballs - which are pork meatballs encased within a bouncy fishball.
Over at Fun Land, you’ll find an assortment of gifts, toys, accessories, and even snacks. To save yourself a trip down to Bites by Scarlett, you can pick up Chinese convenience store snacks here from $0.60 apiece. Sift through the shelves of knick-knacks like lanyards, totes bags, and DIY art kits. We even saw a cute pastel puffer bag for $9.90!
All in all, there is no lack of food options in Anchorvale Village, with over 20 eateries in the mall. These include fan-favourite fast food joints like A&W and Jollibee, Swee Heng bakery and Ya Kun to grab breakfast on-the-go, and Swee Choon so you can have a dim sum feas
