My heart is so heavy when I hear this song !! My Mother passed 2 years ago and it seems like it was just yesterday. The grief process gives me days where I don’t cry, and other days where the sadness comes without any warning. When I hear the phrase “hard to rely on your Mamma’s prayers when your Mamma is no longer there”.. I start crying😢.. for many years when I was a young child, I didn’t understand what she was doing.. but now I realize because of her prayers, she taught me how to serve GOD in good times and bad times.. I know that one day my time will come, and I pray that I’ll be ready, for what a joyous celebration that will be -- when we all get together again !!!!! 🙏 Thank you GOD for giving me a Mother for 96 years that was unlike any other !!! RIP - My darling sweet Mother !!! Your daughter who misses you SO MUCH !!!!

I remember summer of 2006 this was a big hit playing on local stations down south. In the midst of watching my father decline in his battle with cancer, this song would play seems every time we were going to the cancer center, back home, then constantly when he was admitted to the hospital. He spent his last 3 weeks in the ICU fighting the good fight. Once he passed away, this was playing on the drive home & it hit me that he was gone, but I felt like it was a wake up call in a sense. In order to get to where he's going I have to get myself together. I was 16 at the time & I am way more mature than most my age, but that's alright. It's an uphill battle in today's world, but I meditate daily & pray that God will keep me. There needs to be songs like this that can minister to people. Be blessed.
