I was at the grand ole Opry an it was marty birthday Connie was there two after the Opry was over Connie marty were going to on Ernest tubbs show at midnight after the we all had piece of .another birthday cake . Hello Linda, you are on my mind, after reading your very heartfelt wish to see the legendary Connie Smith next time. You are obviously more intelligent than I and very kind. You see, I asked Marty the same exact thing only we were shaking hands at the time. Marty taught me a priceless lesson in manners that day without uttering a single word. Here it is, having an opportunity to do or say something and knowing it`s the right time for that opportunity can be very, very difficult. God Bless you all

i really enjoy the program with two of my favorite gospel singers and may our Blessed Saviour always bless you both. And your outfits are amazing. Who picks them out between you two. They are absolutely beautiful and although Connie's are amazing. MARTY'S ARE AT TIMES OUTSHINING CONNIE'S BUT AS FOR HER SINGING THERE ARE NONE CAN TOP HER.

Last night while in a dream I was walking down a sidewalk on some city street when I saw my Daddy who had just recently died, he was walking down the sidewalk on the other side, I screamed at him over and over again as the tears filled my eyes my pleas were denied Then I finally realized, No Daddy couldn't hear me.... For he is on the other side.

Marty and I are the same age and I had made the same decision at age 10, unfortunately, about 15 years ago, as he was nice enough to give me his autograph, I shared these feelings with him and told him that I had been in love with Connie for years.That was the result of being absolutely awestruck and babbling uncontrollably. As you might imagine? He remained taciturn but he's still my favorite country music legend (male) lol 😂. E
