There was actually controversy concerning exactly what cookie they were singing so your argument definitely made sense😂 however management cleared the air about it saying the lyrics were misunderstood and that they were actually singing about the CD that rolled at the end of the mv( not really sure that's just what I heard)....we still don't believe them though....it's so obvious that they gave the young girls such lyrics to sing...i don't know if they were tryna experiment with the girls to see how the public accept such a song

I heard that in korea they may refer to CD's as cookies. In the beginning of the video a huge cookie rolls by and at the end it's a huge CD that rolls by so I think they really meant what they said abt it. Obviously the lyrics still sound suggestive to our ears tho but I think it's really a misunderstanding. Here in the states the word "Cookie" when used in slang means something totally different than what it actually is. Koreans don't necessarily have the same slang words as us so that doesn't translate. And yeah they had english speaking writers but were they American song writers who knew abt the slang and connotations of the word "Cookie"? Just cause they speak english doesn't mean they know all the slang words! I mean I keep discovering new slang words every couple of months, it's hard to catch up sometimes. And plus they could be older ppl writing the songs. Usually it's the younger generation using slang. Although I can't speak for the other parts of the lyrics when they're telling the "boy" that they can only find it "at their house" and to "come over and play" that just doesn't sound right. Anyway, that's just my thoughts on it. 😅

Yea HYBE or Source or whoever needs to fire whoever wrote this song for them. And they have English writers, too; so there just NO WAY they didnt know the double meaning in all the lyrcis (they're so painfully obvious). Cookie isn't some recent slang, either. Its pretty established, lmao. The songs still fire, and my favorite by NJ, but...hard to hear a 16 year old talking about her...well...yea. Especially if they don't even understand wtf they're saying.
