the storyline of both mvs side A and B,,,reflects the audience/fan and their connection to their kpop idol/new jeans. The girl who is holding the camera/filming represents us the fans...she views her kpop idols as they practice, perform and make content. Through the storyline new jeans is telling us that it is okay for us to stray from that idol world and find love in reality which is represented by the boy(the crush)...when we find that love and connection outside of kpop we can still turn to them as they are always waiting for us....the deer represents this.

There is side B!!! You should watch it for the whole story In the story the girls were dead. Someone said that they and the girl filming were in an accident, and film girl was the only one who survived hence the cast. In reality, she was filming no one which is why she was getting strange looks. Either she imagined them or they were ghosts who were worried about her coz they write a heart and 'don't die' on her cast. The guy was a love interest who helps her move on. In the end, she watches a tape that was actually a part of her reality coz it was filmed before the girls died. People says the deer has some spiritual significance or is related on the passing if a loved one. I guess she rewatched the tape in the end coz she believes they're still with her even tho she moved on. This was what I've saw from other comment on other videos

It actually makes more sense to watch the videos alphabetically(👀) as you can understand the theory of coming of age. More specifically between KPOP groups and their fans. The protagonist Ban Heeseo (Bunnies as it is a play on words) symbolizes us fans. NewJeans used to be a big part of her life and was so addicted to them, she imagined them everywhere and her classmates thought she was weird. However, as she grew older, she found more important things in life even though it was hard (breaking the camcorder, ignoring a call from Minji, walking alone in the rain away from NewJeans, paying attention to that guy she likes (Hyunwook), etc.). NewJeans ends up becoming apart of her childhood and all of those memories are inside of her small dusty box as she relives them by playing tapes. Side A shows the reality of what she’s recording, while Side B shows the acceptance of it. In the end, it kinda represents NewJeans will always be by her side no matter what! Another theory that was going around was that Heeseo was friends with the NewJeans girls and they were all involved in a car accident, but she was the only survivor. She uses the camcorder to keep their memory alive. I personally like the first theory as it’s more meaningful! The deer also represents innocence, grace, new beginning, etc.🦌

There is a Korean drama also called "Ditto," which was shown in 2000. The drama is all about the love story between two people, one in 2000 and the other in 1979. The special thing is that they are able to talk to each other using amateur radio. So the theory is that the MV is inspired by the drama: the lonely girl in the present can only contact the girls in the past through the camcorder. So it also explains why their uniform looks different.

my theory: new jeans and heesoo were a group of best friends. one day they got into a car accident and heesoo was the only one that survived, hence the cast. because of her depression and how much she misses her dead friends, she hallucinates about them and acts as if they were still alive. in side A, her putting down her umbrellla and following new jeans into the rain represents her letting her delusions consume her. in side B, instead of following new jeans into the rain, she walks away alone with her umbrella which represents her finally letting go of the past and accepting that her friends are gone. in the end, she (now an adult) is shown rewatching her cds and reminincing the good times when new jeans were still alive. also, the deer is a symbol of new jeans in the afterlife telling heesoo to let go of the past and her suvivor's guilt

the theory is: this girl is friends w newjeans, and they had some kind of accident, the camera girl was the only one who survived but she broke her arm (the broken arm is a consequence of the accident, but there is also another representation, basically smth like "remnants" of moments), and the camera girl can't let them go, she doesn't accept the death of the other girls
