@@inmik2071 All of them are pretty good and equal with each other but there is no main vocals and dancers that could compete with other main vocals and main dancers. Nmixx and Aespa for example, have 2 singers in each group that are a lot better, and the other 7 members of both groups are a equal or better than Newjeans, they don’t have vocal holes. Nmixx have 4 dancers that are better than anybody in Newjeans.

The members are so incredibly young it is very unlikely they aren't gonna be abused by the industry. Even now they already have a sexual song (Cookie. And yes, euphemisms also exist in Korean. It's not badly translated, it's just a sexual song is the truth.) and I can't imagine how much it's going to fuck them up mentally in the long term. So many other idols have spoken out about how bad it is to debut young and how being a trainee ruined any childhood they could have had. They trap these young idols in contracts that they either stay in, or they have to pay off a huge debt. They then overwork them until a huge amount injure themselves or quit as adults once their debt is payed off due to stress. They then come out of being an idol with very little money (most idols probably earn only slightly more then the average job, even those from big companies) , no degree, and no experience anywhere else. The horrible treatment of young idols has also been connected to why some idols have developed eating disorder or killed themselves. So, yeah, be careful supporting them. Because every time you support a group who's just debuted in this age range you tell the company they can do it again and get away with it. Also, Vernon, my beloved.

She shouldn't be disheartened. They just debuted. Popularity typically changes with more comebacks. I can think of some groups where one member was super popular at debut but now said member is more in the middle in terms of fancam popularity. It really depends.

Just because it's been done before doesn't mean it's not rare. It's done every now and then but usually only as a one-off concept, and not straight from debut. It's almost too risky. Only time will tell if it's simply a concept for NewJeans, but as it stands, yes, it is rare. I'm not giving them an award for being more "natural" or "simple" than other groups, but they don't fit the current standard girl group look. Especially for the current generation of girl groups who tend to stick to the girl crush concept and wear makeup to suit it. I also think it's a good thing a successful new girl group is promoting a more natural and youthful look to their demographic.
