The genre is actually New Jack Swing, a hybrid of Hip-hop and dance Rnb that reached peak popularity in the late 80s early 90s. Great video! 🔥

The BEAT is 'New Jack Swing' from the 90s. The GENRE of the Song is 'City Pop' --- which used a lot of this beat back then.

Based on a theory another poster made and my own observations heres what i think is going on. I'll try not to be too long. NewJeans Minji, Dani, Hanni, Haerin and the 'guy' could be paranormal weather/phenomena investigators... they get out of a strange weather looking van at the start. None of those Members Interact with Hyein aka the bunny throughout the whole video.. it seems only the guy sees her. Minji comes to get the guy in a sort of lets go motion but it seems she doesnt see or realise Hyein is there. Even when they are dancing the Bunny shows up and dissapears again continuously. The bunny reminds me of Frank the Rabbit (a supernatural being) from Donnie Darko.. in that film only Donnie could see frank the rabbit... much like it seems only the guy can see Hyein in this... the lyrics suggest it might be about a 'supernatural' relationship. The dancing scenes also flip from 80s looking to current modern times with them wearing current clothing holding smartphones 1:28. Donnie Darko was also about time travel. Theres a scene if you pause quickly 3:13 where Hyein is sitting to left of the screen looking ghostly holding an alien toy. theres more but i dont want to bother anyone with too much till we see part 2 :P
