Thank you so much for this video and the encouragement! I’m 4 weeks post partum tomorrow and a FTM and a new grad ICU nurse. When I tell you the “what the heck was I thinking” hit me like a truck these past few weeks lol I really felt like I was losing it thinking I could start a new career AND start a family at the same time. I’ve been watching your videos for a long time, even before I found out I was pregnant and NOTHING prepares you fully - not even watching all of your videos lol Parenthood is just like nursing, there’s just a point where you learn by fire. Now that I’m almost halfway through my maternity leave, the fear of returning to work is setting in. Every time I think I have a routine, something changes and it goes out the window and I know work is just going to make that even more complicated. But it helps to watch your videos and know so many other moms feel the same way. And I’m so grateful for having you as a resource as it has added some awesome reassurance and product recommendations that make me feel like I CAN do this.

The biggest thing that I've learned after my first baby is how MY body behaves in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Other people can tell you that it's "like this" or "like that" but the reality is that everyone's experience is unique and no amount of research will prepare you for that. I'm pregnant with my second one now, and I'm more prepared because I have a better idea of what my body will do. I know I'll need help getting my shoes on soon. I know that I'm an effective pusher. I know that plastic flanges make my left breast hurt. I had to figure these things out.

Here I am tearing up during it goes fast. This is my 2nd and 10 years later than my first. Journey has been going well, but man do i feel it when you say that there is never enough time to get into the groove of things before something new happens. I'm 8 months pp dealing with the loss of a sibling. But the world doesn't stop turning, which makes pushing through all the work that much more difficult. That's what makes the community so important. We all need support. ❤️
