Newly Built Kashi Vishwanath Dham & Corridor In Varanasi | I Love My India | Curly Tales

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple holds immense significance to Hindus as it is revered as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is visited by more than 7 million devotees every year. In new developments, the divine shrine has now been restored and beautified with the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.
Earlier the temple area was only 3000 square feet which has now enlarged to about 5 lakh square feet to be able to accommodate 50000-75000 devotees at one time in the temple and temple premises.
So what has changed at the ancient Kashi Vishwanath temple complex?

How about the escape of Liquor Baron Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi..? And countless Business Houses who looted government owned banks. Who wrote off BILLIONS of US Dollars as loans to Big Corporate Houses owed to government owned banks.? Who incorporated Farm bills that would force poor farmers to sell their lands to Big Business Houses..? I'm so lucky that I have visited Kashi Vishwanath multiple times since my childhood. My mom's home 🏠 is Kashi and the temple is hardly 2 kms away from my Nani's home. We used to go every Monday during night aarti. Jai Bholenath 🙏🕉️

Ahilya Bai was a great pioneer and builder of Hindu temples who constructed hundreds of temples and Dharmashalas throughout India. One of her greatest achievement was to rebuild the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in 1776, one of the holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites, that had been demolished & converted into Gyanvapi Mosque on the orders of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1669.

Thank you. I had been to Kashi Vishwanath Mandir in 2006. Temple was truly great, however, roads were narrow. this looks truly wonderful. Hope to visit again soon.

I visited lastly in 2019. After watching latest vlogs on Kashi.. The new look and the restoration along with renovation and upgradation is just fabulous. Well done Yogi Adityanath and BJP. I was disappointed when I visited in 2019. Shattered at the apathy of this holy shrine. No more now. Its better to record and show the people about the BEFORE AFTER looks to showcase the negligence of all those political leaders towards Varanasi and their least efforts in boosting spiritual tourism.

You are making many people to visit Kashi , varanasi. It was my wish to visit there . Now, after watching this , I have booked tickets for varanasi . You are fortunate enough that you can record this ( when they allowed camera inside mandir premises). Unfortunately , i couldn't get that opportunity 😓. Still I enjoyed the Kashi Vishwanath ji ke darshan & Also took pics of corridor. It's such a wonderful & peaceful place. This was my 2nd time visit here.

Ofcourse major political parties including so called HINDUTVA POLITICAL PARTIES are working behind the scenes to weaken Hinduism in India. Ancient name for India is JAMBUDWIP. India was once an island in Indian Ocean. Bharatnatyam was originally known as Jambalakka. Almost all countries in South East Asia called India as JAMBUDWIP. India and Hindustan are names given by British Colonial Rulers and Foreign Invaders Bharatvarsh in Sanskrit means India is place with descendants of Ancient Hindu king Bharata. It's not actual name of India.

When it was destroyed 1st time, it was Raja Man Singh of Jaipur who re-built it. Then again it was re-built by Raja Veer Singh Bundela of Bundelkhand. After that Aurangzeb destroyed it again. Then Ahilyabai Holkar re-built it.

3 yrs. back I went to see Lord Kashi Viswanath Temple. That time, the temple was in a narrow lane. Now, after three years the temple complex has been renovated to a wide area. The change has been taken place with a new picturesque view. I salute Hon. PM, Modiji and Hon. Yogiji for this wonderful artifact of the most oldest religious place, like Kashi Viswanath. Jai Viswanath.

Here he practiced surgery. Original temple was destroyed by Muslim invaders. New temple was rebuilt by King shivaji( Marathas)

Kashi is very very important place in Hinduism. Lord Shiva lived here and maditated here. Lord Buddha maditated here. And most importantly First ever text on surgery called "Susurata sanghita" was written in Kashi by sage named Susurata.

Earlier it was difficult for anyone coming from outside to visit Kashi as main way to reach temple was through 'Galis' (gate no 1) that were full of brokers and it was annoying. Also, the police posted there were rude. Now one can directly reach the gate (I think its gate no 4) of temple via a (busy narrow) road by auto/car/rickshaw, buy ticket, and visit. This means you can stay anywhere in Varanasi and reach the temple. Mornings/Evenings are more busy than noon. The road side food/tea such as Kachuri in Kachauri gali (next to gate of temple) is v good. If doing (hand operated) boat ride it should cost 500-600 but it depends on your negotiation. Or walk to dashashwamedh ghat (from godowlia chauraha) visiting market, benaras gali, temple's gate no 1, jantar mantar. Ganga Aarti happens on dashashwamedh ghat. From dashashwamedh ghat take boat to visit Manikarnika ghat, and others. Also visit (not in good condition) Sarnath (few kms from city center)
