After arriving at Elephant Nature Park, Ploy Thong the blind elephant began to send her low vibrations out, letting everyone know of her arrival. Watch the reaction when they meet each other for the first time, especially Faa Mai.

Idk what it is about elephants. Everytime I see videos about them my heart just feels so full. They seem so wise, so full of emotion...just inherently good; innocent. They truly have to be one of Earth's most beautiful creatures. 🐘

Then 9 years old, youngster Faa Mai is the one that lifts her right front foot, standing on three legs and pausing, next to Lek. Faa Mai is deep in thought, pondering something that newcomer Ploy Thong conveyed to her in those minutes. I wonder if it was about the suffering Ploy Thong had known in her earlier life, or if it was about the calf that was taken from Ploy Thong. Faa Mai has never known suffering at the hands of man, but doubtless has heard about it from newcomers and the older elephants that were rescued to come there. I'm sure that such thoughts would be baffling to Faa Mai, given that she's only known joy, and never sorrow. Most certainly, elephants do "talk", they do communicate and in detail. There's much evidence for exactly that.

Lek was standing next to then-9 year old youngster Faa Mai who was born there; Lek wasn't standing next to the older, blind newcomer, Ploy Thong, inside the corral. But Lek rides in the back of the truck with many (or maybe all) of the rescue elephants, so they've already met and gotten acquainted to some degree. Lek isn't brave, per se, but is knowledgeable and can read them with a sensitive heart and an attentive eye. Love and attention goes a long way that bravery can't.

I'm almost on tears and in so much awe of the sweet compassionate gentle giants and of the wonderful people who care for them. I'm 46 and aspire to be this ethical. The incredible love shown here is something truly special. They are extending their trunks in a sign of solidarity and kindness. They are telling the new elephant that it will be ok. We humans truly have a lot of evolving to do if we ever hope to be anywhere near as majestic as these amazing creatures

What an absolutely wonderful herd greeting. Elephants emit very low subsonic communication that can carry for miles thru thick forest regions and can even penetrate solid concrete walls. This communication cannot be heard by humans and most other species. It is theorized that certain of the dinosaur species did the same and even had hollow structures on their heads that aided in this communication.......Humans should be a bit envious of this remarkable ability!! Bats display communication at the other end of the frequency/wavelength spectrum in locating where they are in 3-D space and hunting down their prey as they fly in complete darkness! We need to preserve and protect these wonderful species!
