I’ve never done enduro but have been doing mtb all my life around cann woods and my local area which is a disused china clay quarry. I live about a mile away from newnham. Do you think I could do it on a hard tail?

There are hard tail categories you can enter. I would say you need a reasonable level of fitness and a reasonable proficiency on an MTB. Best thing to do is visit the Southern Enduro website and ask the event organisers. Hope this helps. 😀
