100% agree that Star Wars has had a problem with making EVERYTHING revolve around the Skywalker family. its such a vast universe, tell other stories. In the sequels there was no need for rey to be a palpitine, stick with the brilliant idea of a defected storm trooper hero. As you said thats what made season 1 of the Mandalorian so fresh and fun and interesting.

I, and I'm sure other FanEditors, are going to convert this into a movie. I actually plan to incorporate Clone Wars, Obi-wan, etc into the Prequels making my own special edition version.

I like several of the movie script ideas, but I also like spending 5 or 6 hours with the story and characters better than 2 hours.

The biggest issue isn't that we know how Obi-Wans story ends, the issue is in what's at stake. Live or die should not have been what hangs in the ballance for obi, Leah or Luke but too much of the story was based on that kind of tension and that's why I believe it rings false.

I do think Kenobi would have worked better as a movie. I do hope if there is a season 2 More Jin, Flashbacks of Yoda and Ahsoka with Anakin, Cad Bane, Christopher Lloyd as Hondo.

I like the episodic structure. Even if you have 30 minutes run time over multiple seasons you have more time to develop characters and story lines.

@@Mike_C-79 let's hope it's not limited. 2nd season is being discussed according to Disney execs. Mainly I was speaking about how The Mandelorian did it. Episodic, 1 season after the next. The shows have the ability to have more time.

A three-way fight between Reva, Obi-Wan, and Vader would've been cool. Reva would die towards the end of the fight and Obi-Wan almost defeated leading up to the exchange we actually got in the series.

Reva couldn't have known based on anakin's lightsaber use. Anakin had to choose a different Saber form than his normal Form V when he was injured

Probably, for character development it would of have been better as a movie. However, I personally think it worked well as a mini-series even though it wasn't flawless.

Showing the force as a foundation of an as yet unheard of religion is brilliant. This is the kind of stuff that expands the universe into something that feels more lived in and real. Why aren't they embracing these ideas? It always has to get trimmed down to fit into the same mold we've seen time and time again.

I agree that Leia did not need to be in this. The entire series could have simply been "Empire claims they captured Yoda. Since Yoda knows what happened to Luke and Leia, Kenobi leaves Tatooine to see if the rumors are true and whether the children are in danger of discovery. Turns out it was a trap by Inquisitors to lure Jedi out of hiding and the series is Kenobi trying to escape this net. Vader learns they found Kenobi in the operation and gets involved. Kenobi learns Vader is actually Anakin. Kenobi vows to not leave Tatooine again."

In an embarassingly unfortunate turn of events, Vader's balls were found in a discarded pile of droid parts in Cloud City. It's the only time that C3-PO has ever gotten violent (you would be too if you had Vader's balls in your face), and to this day the Cloud City worker who accidentally inserted them into C3-POs sockets has refused to work on any protocol droids.

@@detroitdiezel7856 Yup. My sentiments exactly. Which is so sad, bc I LOVE the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. It would've been so much more interesting if they had just focused on those two. Hopefully the next season they'll give an "Andor"-sized budget and competent writers who actually know Star Wars and its lore/continuity, etc. Ugh.... what could have been....

I think if disney just made this the fanfiction verse because thats what it is and not claim these stories ever connected to the pre disney media and were stories based on starwars people would have a way easier time accepting these stories and stop complaining about this and that. Comic books figured this stuff out over 40 something years ago by making alternate story lines because they knew it was hard to keep continuity between different writers separated by decades and style so they let them use the og characters and allow then to modify whatever setting they wished because it was a different story line.

Surprised how disappointed I am with you guys on these longer-form vids versus your ‘Easter Egg’-type videos from lately. You two shouldn’t riff as much. You’re neither funny nor entertaining. I had trust built up in you. Guess I shouldn’t have. I’d recommend for you to try and stay focused. Your friend is obnoxious, and for you to indulge it (let’s face it, it’s plain to see you’re ‘going with it’) is taking away from the previous good work your team has done.
