As of August 2020: Craig Peyer, one of San Diego’s most notorious killers, may be released from prison early because of COVID-19 concerns. Peyer killed Cara Knott on December 27, 1986. The 20-year-old San Diego State student was strangled and then thrown from a bridge off Interstate 15 near Poway.
The murder happened while Peyer, a CHP officer, was on duty. He continued to work the rest of his shift as if nothing had happened.
This News 8 archive footage covers Peyer's sentencing in 1988.

If you kill a young girl for sex and, add to that, you're a cop - you are, by definition, a vicious psychopath. Period. Case closed. Guess he fooled a lot of people. He needs to burn in hell.

When I lived in Cali that year, watching TV I remember him driving and talking to the news reporter about safety on the roads while he had deep scratches on his face. Moreover, he was sweating profusely. Little did anyone know, 48 hours earlier he murdered that young woman. Chilling.

I lived there as well and I have tried to tell the Knott family what I know but the police laughed at me when I called.

The reporter shouldve asked the Cops wife…”so how does it feel to be married to a piece of sh**?”

Peyer out on a good act. He fooled his two former wives. But how could they fall for a devil like Pyer ? They were in his trance.

Much credit to the Judge who remained sober minded and extremely calm when sentencing Murderer Craig Peyer.

@@fluxcapacitor1621 many, many police departments employ them. Still to date they don't have proper assessments to detect these psychopaths. So many are hiding behind a badge!

Apparently not Craig Peyer. He abused his authority to sexually satisfy himself and murder Cara. There's a place for people like Craig where it gets really HOT 🔥 and it never ends.
