- on the night of 9 July, drones attacked the city of Kalach-on-Don in the Volgograd region of Russia: The target was a local oil depot. According to local residents, 10 explosions occurred in the city around 4am. After that, a fire broke out in the area of the oil depot, with a black column of smoke visible from different parts of the city;
- Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban sent a secret letter to European Council President Charles Michel. In it, he spoke, among other things, about Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin's confidence in Ukraine's defeat. The letter is dated 5 July and was sent from Azerbaijan, where Orban travelled after his meeting with Putin;
- Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an informal meeting in Novo-Ogaryovo. The Kremlin dictator congratulated him on his re-election as prime minister. At the same time, Modi said that the Russian-Indian talks on Tuesday, 9 July, would further strengthen the friendship between the two countries.
