Agree Saw Ohtani play a few weeks ago it was electric. No one like him. If you ever get to see him play, do it while he's still in his prime especially when he pitches, he's unbelievable.

They are 4 and a half games back and they have to jump 4 teams to get a playoff spot at 1.4% chance. Most of the guys at Angels have given up but what Ohtani did at the field speaks volume he hasn't given up yet although his body is breaking down

It's just a shame that his talent is being wasted by a team that isn't capable of making any significant postseason runs. He should demand a trade and get out of that organization if he wants to win or at least contend for a championship

His W-L record should be closer to 19 wins. Same thing for last year. He lost many games with a lead and terrible relievers plus sloppy field play. Many of the leads were due to Ohtani’s bat.

Unfortunately, Ohtani HR and Triple Crown chasing is just too difficult because he doesnt have the support to do so. They can just pitch around him however they want and not give him much good looks at the pitch.

IN AL, His HR absolutely no.1. Batting average just lower Bo Bichette and Yandy Diaz and now Bichette hurts, though his average is .321 higher than Ohtani .306 but his AB not enough, so his mainly competitor is Yandy. And RBI i think difficult becuz Ohtani lower Garcia 7 RBI, but i still think Ohtani can compete triple crown becuz his Hit is 132 lower Bo Bichette and Marcus semien, and his mainly competitor is Semien just lower 2 hits.

It’s the old umps that are the problem, but they won’t be around forever. The young ones are much more accurate and have a better strike zone. One of the reasons is that they don’t look at the ball from an angle like old umps do.

Even if Ohtani has chronic injuries, he can't possibly be as bad as Stephen Strasburg has been since he got his mega deal. He should at least be able to hit at a respectable level even if he has to give up pitching. Stephen Strasburg can't do that. Sometimes you take a chance and end up with someone like Max Scherzer who was worth every penny. Sometimes you end up with Strasburg, who has played in 8 total games in 4 years since he got World Series MVP and got the bag of money.

I hope that Ohtani plays next year for the Angels because they allow him to do what he is doing. Maybe he should skip some games as a DH, and he needs an extra day as a pitcher because he is human and needs some rest. If they do that from the beginning next year, he will be able to force the march at the end of the season when every game is more important. If he goes to the "big markets", the circus will be insane because to many people will want "a piece of the action". Let the guy play ball. He is doing fine where he is.

If I was an ownership of Angels, I would offer him $400 million for 10 years with 5% team equity with no trade clause. What Ohtani wants is a chance to win. And I believe that he wants to win with Angels & Trout, if possible. All Angels will have to show is their willingness to win. If Angels agree that 20 or 30 million dollars they may save per year because of this deal for the next 10 years will be used to get relief pitchers, which Angels desperately need in order to win consistently, he will stay with Angels. As far as Ohtani is concerned, he is not losing anything as 5% of Angels team equity equates to about $200 million dollars. Angels have a chance to win next year with a few promising rookies. I hope they will work out the deal like the above with him.
