Justice Katju is the most honest & genuine public figure in India today.

He is an idealist,way ahead of his time. It's a shame we are not mature enough to understand him.

He's the man who shows his integrity for laws and he sounds to be a terrific personality for those who want to misuse their freedom. As he rightly said, everybody from media of this country talk of democracy, when they are making "stories" and talk of privacy when an investigation is initiated about their "story"!!! Sounds like a joke, but true. Additionally as he rightly thinks and puts it forward, lots of electronic media, especially, FM radios and private news channels should be under the purview of law for all the "investigations", "stories" and "news" that they air. Otherwise, they become another "anti-social" elements of the society. Now for TRPs, they air anything they want and in any way they want. Bureaucracy in news media (print, audio, video and all others) should be prohibited for a healthy democratic society.

Madhu should be appreciated in this interview. Because she could extract juice from a highly qualified and experienced person. Justice Katju. And I have learned a lot from this interview. Great.

An interesting interview. I appreciate the views of both Madhu and Justice Katju. Having gone through several of the interviews by Madhu I feel like she interrupts the interviewee more. On one had she lashes out on Arnab for that behaviour and taking sides while on the other she herself is repeating the same behaviour. While I appreciate the efforts of newslaundry to put the media under a lens at the same time I would appreciate if Madhu lets the interviewees and panelists on her show 'speak'. :P Also during the last part of the interview dont we think it was much more meaningful when he was given a chance and the debate/ interview went in much sensible manner so much so that it felt like a real debate.

Just wow....I have so many misconceptions about this man...sorry sir...I will never judge any person from newspapers article any more....👍🏻

No matter how much effort Madhu puts behind her botox injected face , each interview makes its more evident that she is a biased , conservative , right winger. In some other interview she is reprehensible about Vishnu Som for unable to control his emotions during a rally but same verdict can be given about her. she just can't control herself and jumps to support the other person whenever a pro views are express for certain type of ideology. She is what she is for being a daughter of rich father.

Have very high respect for Justice Katju. I thought that the inquiry into India Today was not necessary. However PCI should have powers to inquire if they feel that a story is dishonest and take corrective action.

delightful and interesting 39.13 is journalism not allowed to come to a conclusion ? when i see a robber running out with a bag of money from a bank or house, after breaking the doors etc and many more absolutely valid happenings. ... I will say: " he is the robber " i will conclude : he is the robber. and if i happen to write, i will write as : HE ROBBED. if the judge says - who are you to judge? are you a judge ? etc.. how then will a journalist write? is it like this ? " " it is my conclusion that he robbed " and then add a disclaimer... it is upto the judge to decide...? we use words as we see the experience .. confusing as to what words to use ... however if our experiences prove to be wrong and our judgements wrong , it can hurt the person.. but assume , it IS true..so, how to write ?

His uncle Justice B.N.Katju was Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.

Being a law student and lawyer I was a big fan of Justice Katju. I was also his big fan when he assumed the present role, see him outlining his role in interview with Mr. Shekhar Gupta (Walk the Talk). But since past year my status for him changed to 'dislike' primarily after watching him scream in TV studios. But but but...i have realized that if one gives him time, what Ms. Trehan didn't do for first 11 minutes of the interview,....this guy talks sense.
