It's certainly not religious spirituality. Hearing this kid's confession is heartbreaking. It should be used as education to prevent future violence. It's better to die impoverished yet rich in Grace than to be sullied by the guilt of spilling innocent blood.

yesterday, a man in a rickshaw used for delivering stuff offered to drop us home when we couldn't hail any other rickshaws. He didn't even have a meter and asked us to pay whatever we usually pay for that distance. When a beggar at the signal asked for money, we found out the rickshaw driver didn't have both of his legs and lost complete sensation in both of them due to some disease. Still, he was driving a rickshaw and supported his wife and children despite being disabled and utterly poor and he also said that he'd rather earn money with respect than begging for it. Now I know this isn't about terrorism. But my point is, whether you choose to earn in a legitimate or illegitimate way is your choice. Him being so easy to brainwash is his fault alone. Everyone in this world is born with some challenges to face and some prevalent disadvantages. But if you choose to pick up a gun and kill innocents because your problems forced you to do it, nobody else can be blamed for it. A lot of those people he killed must've been suffering from the same problems as him, but they weren't pulling the trigger. This man should have been killed on the spot. Or better yet, they should have tossed him out into the public and left him there, to let other people beat him to death. He deserved that. The people whom he killed deserved that. I am a Muslim myself and I hate how this man, and others like him, ruin our name and the religion that asks its believers to live in peace and to maintain that peace, no matter what religion the other person comes from. A Muslim is supposed to be a good human being, above everything else. There is no pity in my heart for this man. He's not a real Muslim and he's definitely not the follower of the most important belief in the world: humanity.

Yes that's what most of the extremely poor in India and Pakistan do. Start working when you're 12-13, get married when you're 14-16. Start making babies around 17-18. They will usually have 2-3 kids by the time they reach 25-26.
