I miss Newton. I grew up on Dedham St. I wish it was more affordable to live there. Love my current town though, Plainville is lovely and has muuuuuch less traffic.

Newton is nice. I go there about three times weekly.

Unfortunately, home prices are too high in Newton for most people.

@@BostonStreetsHighways rent too. My mother bought her house in the late 70's for something like 70 grand (around 300g today last check). I sold it a couple years after her passing for 545g, and it is now worth over 900g last check. Normal 3 bedroom colonial, no master bath or anything, and I think maybe 1/6th of an acre. It is insane. They have tried to get affordable housing, but there are too many wealthy nimby types living there who think it will bring an "element".
