excuse me sir why did you use a positive sign when working out a) while the formula gives a negative sign,and how comes you used 1 yet the x1 is supposed to be a value btwn the interval

Sir Please give the solution of x3 -3x+1=0 by Newton Raphson method.According to me root lies between 0 and 1. But according to answer in book it is incorrect.

Here f(0)=1 and f(1)=-1 So root should be between 0 and 1. But the answer of this question is I.e. root is 1.532. Same this type of confusion also in question x5-5x+3=0 Please solve this question.
