About five parties not contesting the May 29 polls have endorsed Patriotic Alliance president Gayton McKenzie as the man to lead the Western Cape and SA. McKenzie tells Yazeed Kamaldien that he is ready to take over the province.

PA is not working for ANC, yes in some areas they are in coalition with the ANC because the DA doesn't want to work with the PA. The PA is the only party to date who said they will work with any party including the AWB if it still existed. Say what you will. I am not voting for the PA, but the DA have stagnated under Helen Zille and Tony Leon who clearly still run the DA from the shadows. Now that coalitions are on the horizon and ANC falling to around 40% it makes sense to disperse the votes to parties that you actually agree with. DA will never have a majority, but they like to act like they are a 40 - 50% party when they are stuck at 20% for a few elections. DA are definitely intimidated by these parties.

@@AndrewMcFarlane_1 PA have taken a few wards off of the DA like Swellendam/George/Oudshoorn/Plett to name a few. Again I do not vote PA (Or DA in the coming election) but PA's support is growing. They won George with 60%+ ousting the DA there. Even VF+ are stating that DA majority in WC is going to drop. Many political parties see DA dropping in the future as it has already begun. As for the level it is not clear until the elections actually happen.
