According to StatsSA, those aged between 15 to 35 account for 63% of the population. So when the country's economic troubles worsen, the youth bear a disproportionate burden. As we approach the 2024 elections, the Weekend Report has established a platform for political youth leaders to offer their perspectives on the difficulties confronting the young majority and to engage in debates about how they envision South Africa's future.
EFF Student Command Leader Sihle Lonzi, National Freedom Party's Gauteng Leader and Student Movement National Spokesperson, Innocent Shezi and Democratic Alliance Youth Leader, Nicholas Nyati speak to Newzroom Afrika's Masechaba Khumalo about their party's plans to address youth unemployment.

That's revolutionary for EFF. In the UK any unemployed person gets a job seeking allowance, there are local job centres where people can go search for jobs online. When you go for an interview you are given money to go and buy clothes to be interview ready. All companies refund you your transport fare to and from the interview whether you are successful or not.

I live in Lange . I get bus everyday to the work . I walk 15min from my house and each day return this bus is R24.00 . The bus is sometimes 5 or 10 min late becos is rain sometimes too much. Not true at all! The Top 15 best run Municipalities in SA are governed by the DA with an outright majority! Most of these are in the Western Cape, but the DA now also governs Midvaal in Gauteng, Kouga in the Eastern Cape and more recently, uMngeni in KZN, where Mayor Chris Pappas ( 32) and his Deputy Mayor Sandile Mnikathi( 28) are making waves!! There is even a Documentary about this duo on KZfaq! The Top Metro in SA is Cape Town and the best run Province in SA by far is the DA governed Western Cape!!

Post May 2024……more better workable ideologies will come on board and the leaders are youthful and they offer program based ideologies. So many big promises is not the future. Running real economic programs is the future. The EFF ideology is had prove on a social level.

The DA must cease disseminating misinformation. I've personally visited the Western Cape and have not encountered any of the Youth Centers they claim exist. Their emphasis on Cape Town suggests an awareness that many individuals cannot afford to visit the Western Cape. Additionally, there are no buses providing free transportation as they suggest. Meanwhile, the EFF maintains clarity regarding their objectives. It's regrettable that the NFP has experienced a decline in relevance.
