Those are the sweet sensual vocals of Vernell "Vee" Sales. Indeed those vocals were too hard to ignore such that even RL took note and would later help her and Falonte "Fonz" Moore form the group Koffee Brown. I saw the lead singer at the Baldwin Hills Mall in South Central Los Angeles like 15 years ago. He was sitting on a bench outside a store, my friend was like, "that's the guy from Next".
