Moonlight Sentry its no bother!! when youre making a next gen you want people to like, i think choosing ships that are weird but not TOO weird is a good way to go. like, choose a side character that has interacted with the character youre shipping them with (like saffron masala x pinkie pie). also sometimes taking a pairing that is really popular and moving one of the ponies from that to another one is fun (like giving flash sentry to, say, rarity?). or you can always go the route i did with my main next gen, which is to just use the ships you think are the most likely. all in all, dont sacrifice likability for your own fun. do what feels right!

1) youre not the boss of me lol 2) does nobody read the comments on ANY of these videos because in literally every single one i explain to one or more people that YES i DO draw the references. the references you see in the description and next to the base in the video are MINE. i DREW THEM. 3) the whole point of these videos is to show off a DESIGN. and the whole point of an mlp design is to see how it translates to the shows style. and no im not going to spend a meticulous amount of time using references and model sheets and screenshots for every single piece i do just to recreate the style from scratch, ESPECIALLY when thats not even how the animators or artists work on the SHOW. there are model packs for a reason. 4) why do i have to be constantly improving? ignoring the fact that literally any doodle i do is still exercising my muscle control (which is important), i dont exist to endlessly crawl towards a non-existent goal. sometimes artists are allowed to draw without the constant threat of falling behind (scratch that, theyre ALWAYS allowed). honestly i should just start copy/pasting this to everyone who leaves an almost copy/pasted comment like this one. if you honest to god think youre the first person to tell me this... you havent read the comments of this exact video.
