It's the biggest decision for Mark and Kate on the Next Gen Ranger. To keep the standard Tub, or transform the set up with the Alloy tray and canopy by T.C Boxes...
There was a lot to consider and after weighing up all the Pros and Cons, we've landing on a decision.

Nice hope it works for you personally I won’t do it after spending my hard earned money on the tailgate storage and recovery boards holder that sits in the groves of the roller shutter. I also know people who have do it to there rangers and the blind side and rear camera are always worse

Thanks mate. The tailgate units are great aren’t they! Will miss that but hopefully a trundle draw will offer similar space and convenience for recovery gear. In respect to rear visibility, I’ve looked into a rear camera that clips onto the rear view mirror so probably the way I’ll go at some stage.

Great episode👍👍👍, been playing with the idea on getting a canopy 🤔🤔🤔but the coin to do it and do I keep my Ranger keeps beating me up🤨🤨🤨 Interesting to see how your set up turns out and the cost, I have actually looked at TC Boxes, but I want to delete the tray to save weight. Cheers for sharing 🍺🍺🍺

Thanks mate! I’ll cover everything off in more detail when it’s all installed. We’re looking forward to getting it on some trips and seeing how it changes the way we camp. There are some ways you can save weight - size of canopy, limit fixed storage, headboard vs no headboard, and trundle draw etc. I found it helpful to write down all the pros/cons and go from there 😀

Great video mate. I've got the 1650 tray with the 1500 canopy from TC with the doors colour matched to my Saber Orange Ranger. It's made a huge difference with storage for my camping trips and just in general for everyday use. Still deciding how I will eventually kit the inside out but atm just enjoying having the space with only my fridge inside.

Awesome! Mine will be very similar initially. Easier to start with less and then add more later on pending usage, compared to adding too much to start with.

Hi there. Been following your vids for some time 👍 I like the flares, wheels and tyres you have fitted. Any chance of letting me know the brand/size and backspace of your wheels and the brand and size of tyre? Also what brand of flare did you use please? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to seeing the new canopy when fitted.

Hi mate. Flares - EGR flares. Wheels - 17x8 30P ROH Vapour Wheels +30 offset Tyres - Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT (285 70 17). Yes we can’t wait to getting the new canopy on and tested out!

They’ve been really great to deal with. Was actually taken back by the scale of the workshop. All very neatly managed and friendly staff. We can’t wait to get it on and tested on some trips 😀

Personally i love a tub and canopy, i have mine well organised with good space containers, works a treat. We do many 4wd trips here in Tassie. Not a fan if a canopy.❤ 😊

They do if you’re travelling remote. That’s what they’re for. Take a hit from a roo and still be able to get to your destination vs a standard car and your trip is over. That and being able to run accessories like a winch. If you’re a city dweller and not getting out of town then it’s often overkill but really depends on what the vehicle is doing.
