Skill wise, Charles is on his own level but he dont have the "vision" it could be because of the pressure knowing he is the only one who dont have a business yet and if he fucked up, he fucked up big time. That verh pressure to win became the reason to his loss

Minju and Daniel are so talented but can we also talk about how such great people they are?? The way Daniel let minju have his fabric in the military round and even helped her figure out how she would have the veil fall down for that effect at the end when she was getting nervous about it 🥺 he was kind to his own competition. And Minju is soo sweet and humble and smiley and I just found their friendship to be really pure. I like how their styles are true to who they are and how they were nothing but happy and supportive of one another. Give them a cameo in season 2 🤧❣️

In a podcast Daniel talked about how they became really good friends because at the end of the day they are all designer and are impacted in the same way. He also considers minju and angel to be on the same level as him in terms of industry experience and exposure and it was when he saw that that were going to be a part of the competition, he was put at ease and felt he could do it too. If you follow them on instagram, they are really supportive and lovely with each other.

I couldn’t agree more! He is such a sweet person. This competition was very different from others because every competitor supported each other sincerely. I loge it so much. It have been one of my favorite reality show ever!

Fun fact, Marco said in an interview that all the designers would go to their hotel bar to cool off and relax and drink. They would also go karaoke together and Minju Kim was an absolute powerhouse when it came to karaoke.

That’s honestly the most accurate description. The judges aren’t immediately dismissive of the designs. They accept different points of view but still agree on a majority decision. Tookie Jackson

This show is so much better than project runway. I love the fact that they start off on teams and then take the competition to individual. This show is fast paced. I love that the materials and everything you need is right there know crazy field trips or gimmicks just straight up fashion. I enjoyed the host, They seem to work well together.

The most stunning or the happy moment for me was when Tan announced the winner " Minju" and how are models were jumping with excitement and happiness. Ah! that was beautiful.

yeah and he still got to the finals! It goes to show that helping others won't stop you from success. Although he did give Minju the idea about turning the veil into a train so maybe he did end up losing because he helped competitors too much lol

Charles was actually robbed couple of times. He's so talented and I'm so sad that he didn't win the money to create his own brand. The belt in the Streetwear challenge and the jacket in the activewear challenge, I would totally buy them.

The diversity and inclusivity is no joke in this show ! That’s why I stan Netflix, they always think outside of the box and bring the diversity and inclusivity concept to every show and work they creat, Kudos 👏👏👏👏

They got a little lost in the middle when Kerby stated that Vuitton had stolen his ideas on the back of the girls complaining about lack of opportunities and no exposure for minorities within the business. I thought Vuitton was run by a black dude? So not only has he stolen from his own but he is not giving opportunities to other minorities and i thought that whole scene was a bit confusing. I do agree with you though and long may it continue.

Am I the only one who absolutely adored Elizabeth Stewart? Her critiques were on point and so constructive and she's just so positive. Although her favoritism for Minju and Angel was evident, she still was an amazing judge for me.

I disagree somehow... She was the judge I likes the least just because she was so biased with angel and minju. These two are great, but I felt bad for how she sometimes critisized other designers just to make angel and minju look better especially in the military and active wear challenge her critiques were a bit questionable

@@chlorinelori1064 It's the Runway everything is Conceptual. Her trademark is oversized meets Tapered to form silhouettes. If you pause and look at the individual Ruffles there is so much detailing it brings the Veil to Life. Some would say it Resembles Hair, A Mane, A Deity.

If anyone's watch project runway, Erin's silhouettes and minju's silhouettes have the same quality of shaping around the body, individual pieces creating geometry and using heavy fabrics to achieve a oversized concoction of color which seem to engulf the wearer. I am obsessed with Erin's clothes

People have to stop comparing this to Project Runway. (Even though everyone is saying it is better), but it is technically unfair. The designers on Next in Fashion all have their own lines minus one contestant. That is goal of contestants on Project Runway. These guys are on a whole other level. Marco Marco has been working with drag and alternative artists for YEARS. They have already dressed multiple celebrities. It's kinda mean to the producers of Project Runway haha--they're playing college sports and Tan has a pro team.

The designers here are professionals. Project runway designers are amateurs. That's why everyone is saying this show is BETTER than project runway, Dumbass!

Caitlin i know right? I dont get it why they kept comparing then with project runway where project runway, most of them is really fresh. Plus, the fabrics selections are also enormous for Next In Fashion and I still remember, in the last episode - Daniel was using $600 dolar fabrics with beads where he chose to destroyed it but yet, project runway have very limited budgets.

Partly agree, tho I also like this better because the competition themes are more straightforward as opposed to the gimmicky stuff PR makes their contestants do.

I love the show. However, I do feel like the producers had certain biases to some competitors over the others. It was clear from the beginning that some pairings were put together for failure (such as that Scottish mom and the military guy), whilst some were paired for success (Angel and Minju). Some of the more "successful" pairings had even worked together or known each other for years prior to the competition, which never seemed fair to me. For future seasons, I think it would be cool if the pairings switched up every week or so, just to see if there's a broader range of creative capability between weaker competitors compared to the stronger ones. Also, maybe have themes that are focused less on aesthetics, and more towards sustainable/accessible fashion? Doesn't have to be this way all the time obviously, but with the world in its current state, not encouraging the idea that fashion is wasteful would be great. All in all, great show.

Cmiiw, but as far as i know, the pairings were all up to the contestants as they wouldn’t need to bring the chemistry from 0 again, just like the Final Plate series.

I just watched The Next In Fashion. Minju , she deserved to win the competition. The most important part, her last collection made me cry to see such a beautiful dress. I am so much in love with her creative fashion

I don’t understand how Minju and Angel made it as far as they did! All of their pieces were similar and unflattering! They should of went home in the lingerie competition! Their design wasn’t even close to lingerie. Also, in the rock competition, they didn’t even finish their design! This show didn’t give any of the other contestants a chance at all! I’m very disappointed😞

Minju and Daniel totally deserved to be the finalists. They're both such incredible designers in their two distinctly different ways. And I was absolutely wowed by Minju's final collection esp the showstopper wow.
