Hello Ward, I am so happy that you made this video. I am a disabled Air Force Vet (enlisted - ELINT), I can't fly anymore (penguin) and your video was the first time I had seen the Next Level Racing Flight Simulator Cockpit and the Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. I bought both and I have to say I am very pleased that I did. I am very active in Flight Sims again and this has had a huge positive impact on my life. Thanks so much. Take care.

DCS is pure fantasy for most of us. Sim-pits and all the add-ons really let you get your geek on. It is refreshing to see someone that has truly "been there, done that" enjoy getting just as nerdy as we mere mortals. LOL! Thanks for sharing!

Very cool. It is insane to me how quickly (relatively speaking) we have advanced to this point in technology. I remember playing Jane's USNF in the mid 90s and seeing the Tomcat created out of like 12 triangles, using just a mouse and keyboard to fly it. Now we have full on, consumer ready sim-pits and graphics that basically match real life. Just insane.

F-15 Strike Eagle on the Commodore 64. Ground targets were triangles. Aircraft were slightly different triangles, in the sky. But a 1mhz 8bit CPU with 64k of RAM doesn't have much headroom for stunning visuals. ;-)

Yup. Falcon 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 as well as MS Flight Simulator 1 and 2 in the 1980s. I always had a vision for a near video image quality F-111 strike mission up into North Vietnam at night. I haven’t played with any civilian sims since the mid 1980s.

Awesome. I have the very same one, just bought it two weeks ago and put it together last weekend. Paired it with a 48" Aorus 4K monitor and using the Thrustmaster rudders, A 10 stick & throttle. I absolutely love it - super experience. Next up will be a Winwing Top Gun MIP to create a more effective work environment where I have to rely less on mouse for data entry and manipulating the DDIs/AMPCD functionality. I think Next Level Racing has an absolute winner on their hands with this sim pit. Thanks for sharing your experience...

I would love to see more content related to your DCS experiences Ward. Doesn't have to be live stream game play or anything like that but just videos related to your thoughts on gear such as this and also various aircraft and maps within DCS. I'm really curious what all you have tried out and how you ended up choosing the things you use and what you liked or didn't like about other things out there, for example VR vs head tracking, etc.. Also really looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on this system vs others after you've logged more hours in that seat. Love your channel, BTW.

Aw Ward, You NEED to wear that harness so you get the feel when you try to turn around to check six. Looks great. I'm so far away from sim flight now. Last time I flew sim it was Falcon 3.0 with the Thrustmaster stick and the throttle came out after wards. Have falcon 4.0 somewhere but it won't run on PC I have now. BUT i do now fly RC planes so i do have a flight sim for that when I can't get to the field. Good luck in your DCS flying! Great to watch your videos about Flight in general and especially my favorite Navy jet the Tomcat, best long range jet we've ever built and sadly retired too soon.

Nice! I bought their older pit years ago but was never a fan of the bucket seat it came with (I'm not a race driver), so I swapped it out with my gaming seat. I also have the V3 seat mover. It's a nice addition for DCS (once you tune the settings...less is more in that thing for VR). Now I'm hungry for something more, such as the DOF Reality 6 DOF. 😂

Oh by the way I did set up the harness. At first I wasn't going to but I decided that a 5 hour build time just wasn't long enough{lol}. But seriously, even though I've never actually really flown anything {except a Cessna a when I was a kid. When I was 10 my dad taught me how to take off, fly, and land one in case of an emergency) I think the harness really adds to the realism while in VR.
