The 20x zoom had me very surprised, Vivo’s shot just has more detail without it being additional processing, it’s just more resolving

@@Annihilus2000 Considering how I think this sets a new standard for the best telephoto camera in a smartphone, I'm excited to see the X100 Ultra/Pro+ with that 200MP telephoto sensor... Hopefully they can manage to keep the wonderful optics powering the current X100 Pro

are you blind?? 😂😂😂 vivo procesed the 20x photo more than anyother and samsung did not procesed at all.. go to 14:27this is where vivos picture not procesed yet than wait one second and you will see on 14:28 magic of process 😂 i have s23ultra and i dont know why this phone do not you ai 10x and on 12mp main camera mode process only 50mp and 200 mp photos ..

@@gramatonklerik1284 I was not denying the fact it's obviously processing the image, I was just saying that for these specific few exemples the end results genuinely do look more resolving than simply looking oversharpened/AI guesswork. Whether or not those observations will apply to every shot taken will vary greatly depending on what is being shot. Also the S23U was also shooting at 20x, so the processing definitely has kicked in. The end result being worse than the Vivo's. Optically speaking, yes the S23U does achieve more detail in shots overall just due to its much longer focal lenght but it's hard to deny the strenght of Vivo's optics mixed with their software to create natural looking images despite the processing at hand

@@smguk2412 only issue I have with that is that I've heard when getting a phone from China. You can't use android auto on the phone which is a must for me really:( UK getting worse for phones...

@@Karllooo If you buy a phone with a Chinese rom then yes you will run into a few problems but a global version means it was made to be sold outside of china, The one I have has no Chinese apps and everything works as intended

I got them all right. It was very close between the Samsung and the Vivo. The iPhone was clearly behind the other 2. Especially that zoom.....pro pro phone my ass.

Would have been better to see the test against the newest iPhone and not last years model. The camera system on the 15 Pro Max has received a lot of praise this year. Other than that, great test! The Vivo is a phone I will consider for sure!

on one of the photos the texture of the box completely disappeared on the vivo sample, while the only decent one was the close-up of the speaker. The test was won by galaxy and I was actually hoping to get the vivo (huge change for me as a samsung user, but always willing to switch for a better photo experience). To conclude, I am staying with Samsung, as the quality of the photos is far superior. Maybe the bokeh is better on the vivo, but that's not even Zeiss, that's just the software.

The 10x times shot on the Samsung could be better but the algorithm is just so annoying that the phone doesn't let you choose if you still want to use the 10x camera even in low light and sometimes idk why the AI thinks a normal lit room is not suited for the sensor

You can disable auto lens switching in camera assistant and then it won't switch lenses automatically unless you choose to switch lenses manually

@@saturnblue I am from older generation..... but not that old.... I commented to point out that u get more bang for ur buck with samsungs rather than vi vo... Vi vo has useless os... One ui is miles ahead Front facing of samsung base model is 4k Design wise samsung is better Vi vo only offers camera which imo cannot justify its price .

Had mine for 5 days here in UK got the 16GB Ram and 512GB Storage Global version, Camera is far better than S23U or 15PM i had them both, Battery life is better than Samsung and not far off iPhone but the charging speed obliterates them both

@@sidniysack Vivo's Android skin is closer to stock android rather than One UI it has a lot less apps installed than Samsung because Vivo don't bother with their own apps for most stuff with the exception of their own photos app and a app for being able to use the IR Sensor as a remote and a sharing app etc. Google feed on the left of the home screen is enabled by default, The settings allow you to customise quite a few things from the always on display to the fingerprint scanner animation right down to even the charging animation etc. If you have anything specific you want to know I will try to give you a answer

Yo lo compré con rom China y lo tengo aquí en México, y la verdad funciona genial simplemente hay que quitar todas las aplicaciones chinas y poner las que vas a usar. Es multilenguaje la única pega que no trae Android auto. Todo lo demás funciona al 100

It's a very good phone phone but it doesn't have 4K selfie camera. 1080p only. Considering the around $1100 price tag for the global version, the price won't be very competitive agains S24 Ultra.

@@StevenChrisDon't know where you live but here in the UK 5G band is different than what China use so Chinese version won't work on 5G. Plus the Chinese version will have some bloatware and i believe doesn't have Google playstore.

All these phones look lovely, but when you actually use or test them, they just never operate as well as the specs and processing say they will. Thats just my experience. I'll stick to samsung at the moment.

Zeiss actually do have a lot of input into the colour calibration. The flew me to Zeiss HQ in Germany to learn about it…it’s legit

This is the most legit partnership in the smartphone world between a phone company and a imaging company. The second best its Xiaomi-Leica. But by far Zeiss involvement in the Vivo partnership its the best.
