Sometimes I'm saddened to think that the amount of effort to produce this product and then sold for a pittance. People don't realise the effort it takes to make a hand made product.

Absolutely true. But you also have to understand the product can be made so much cheaper somewhere else. It's called progress. People all over the world deal with it. His work is gorgeous. Unfortunately it's not needed anymore. It's a wonderful trade if he can make a living off it. 😮

What they continue to live day to day, These people make a good living with their country, everyone there does not have to be a millionaire just to live normal...

this just proves, BAMBOO IS THE MOST VERSATILE AND USEFULL plant to grow..... you can LITERALLY make JUST ABOUT ANYTHING out of bamboo, and it lasts a lifetime........ I live in the middle of the woods in Canada, and I have even started planting bamboo ( I planted my first sets of bamboo 4 years ago ) they are getting nice and thick, most of them are about 3-4 inches around..... I have made quite a few beer mugs out of them... and every time I have people over THEY LOVE THEM!!! ... they also make good little gifts to give to friends when I see them. (friends and family dont make it out to me often, usually only 4 or 5 times a year) .... when I said I live in the middle of nowhere, I meant it hahaha .. and I wouldn't have it any other way, I got my hunting rifles, my dogs, my wife and 1 kid on the way!!!! my wife is 6 months pregnant, I can't wait to show the little guy the amazing outdoors!!!!!

crazy how big bamboo can get in the right conditions. there’s a few patches near where i live that have been there for a long time and they only produce like finger width stalks
