2017/2018 is probably the highest level of Neymar. Insane pre-season and kept it going for PSG. What a shame that he got injured early 2018..

@@dounsai u mean when Neymar was a pure left winger and not the main creative player of the team? 2015 Neymar is amazing, but comparing him to 2017 where he is a left winger and a CAM in one aint fair. Dude is a creative genius and isnt at his best when limited to hogging the wing and creating space for Messi. Let the geniuses be free.

I always thought that had he played a full season, he could’ve seriously got the baloon’o’dor with the unreal stats he had. Even with getting injured he still placed 3rd for that year

Good times when Neymar had to follow a hierarchy and played for a truly giant club, where he was charged. For me, he made a bad choice leaving Barcelona and going to PSG, and I said that at the time. He went to a club and a country where he's not respected and has suffered from kicks and injuries ever since. Neymar is a genius with the ball at his feet and would naturally win the Ballon d'Or with the aging Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi. Playing for Barcelona, evidently.

nah messi still won in 18/19. neymar in 19/20 was probably his last season as potential ballondor winner. 19/20 barca's team was weak though

Nothing wrong with him leaving Barca, He would never be the main man there, but bad selection going to PSG. I’m not sure if there was interest but I wish he would’ve gone to city with pep. Suarez said he suggested that to him.

Now it's obvious. He should've stayed in Barcelona. He could've had a chance to win UCL once again, and Balloon D'Or as well. He could've become a legend of Barca along with Messi. The biggest mistake in his career.
